What size amp should I use for 2 of these? Any recommendations? Going into a foxbody mustang eventually.

What’s the best way to go about installing 2 12 inch subs and a 5000 watt rms amplifier in my 2026 BMW m340i? I called a local car audio shop and they said that it’s difficult with bmw because it’ll give a voltage codes. I have an auxiliary battery and also a capacitor, but I don’t know how to approach this. The guy from the shop said he could install them, but the car could freak out. Anyone have any knowledge on this? Any help is greatly appreciated

I don’t have a video from when I first installed but it was about 2024 summer, is this normal? I remember the sound used to feel alot better but now it’s just kinda disappointing or I’m used to it already?

I am wanting to add some thump to my work truck and was going to go with a pair of 12s and originally was going to go with the ds18s but having second thoughts. The l7 come in a pair in a fitted box for my truck at many of the audio shops here. I know the jl 12tw3 is the best of the best shallow mount but this is for my work truck so trying to stay around the 200-350$ range per sub. As well as the box will be .9cuft per sub for 12s.

Man I’ve been chasing bass in my car, going back to settings and shit. Well just recently I ordered a decent charge cable from Amazon and man it cleared up the bass!!!! I was like, when it’s on Bluetooth I have more bass but using usb for CarPlay I lost bass. I thought it was the YouTube app sucking. Man it was me, I sucked!!! Fuck I was losing my shit out here mad as hell that only a few songs had bass. I’m so dumb.

Finallllly we are here boys. After you guys roasting me telling me to stop being cheap, 3 amps like 5 subs and months later I have everything coming together. I know it’s still not super clean but I am getting there. I think I’ve come a long way. I’ve fucked around tore boxes apart trying to make shit work. I probably spent over 2k over boxes subs and random shit from Amazon. And I still want more… point of this story is you might as well go all out and get something crazy because I promise you you will always want bigger and better! Anyways I’m actually pretty happy with these two nvx10vc3s 1000w rms. I think I’m gonna go to two 12s 1000w rms sundown or a really good brand. Or go with one nice ass 15 at 2000w rms.

I got these for free from my grandpa they are in great shape and work perfectly he said he replaced the 12 inch subs in them a few years ago and they thump really good in my opinion I'm new to this and these are my first 12s

Going to preface this by saying I know very little about subs. I had this box installed by a professional shop about 6 years ago and it’s been working fine up until about a month ago.

This crackling comes and goes whether or not I am actively playing music; and I’ve checked the ground wire hooked up to the harness of the box. This wire wouldn’t be my first guess despite google advice, but again I’m a total noob on this subject.

I do also believe this enclosure comes with an amplifier built in just for the subs, but I’d have to research to be 100% sure.

Not sure if the dials for sensitivity and the low-pass filter factor in, but they are usually set 90° vertical and came that way from the shop, I turned them down myself while troubleshooting.

If anyone has any advice on how to move forward with diagnosing I’d appreciate the help.

Reusing the oem enclosure and removing the oem 8" to replace it with a 10" since the volume and internal bracing seem to support some insanity.

I had a shop install 2 sundown shallow 10s and they paired it with a Memphis amp ( I think a street reference ) I had my system redone, 3 JL w3 10s. If I got a JL amp would I notice a difference? ( Memphis amp is what I have JL would be what I upgrade to )

I've got a 2012 Ram crew cab with a Fox Audio 2-12" ported box. Have had that setup in my pickup since 2018ish. I was running a 20ish year old Alpine 1000x1 and 2 Memphis Audio bass reference 4 ohm svc subs. Had body rumbling bass. This past December I updated my Kenwood DNX694 to a Kenwood DMX1057r, this is where I started having issues. Amp would go into protect mode and I figured because of the age, I would replace it. Installed a Memphis SRX1300.1v amp and, same issue, protect mode. Took that out and installed a Rockford R2-1200x1 and still, protect mode. Turned everything down and brought my pickup up to the radio shop and had them install 2 Rockford P3 4 ohm DVC subs and tune the system. Made it about 2 hours before one of the subs gave up the ghost. Before one of the subs shit the bed, I realized I have zero low end bass, not like I had with my prior budget setup. Where the hell is my issue? What should've been something so simple is eating me up on the inside.

I've been trying to sell my old sub setup for over a year and can't get it any attention. Anyone got advice on how I can get rid of it?

It's a Kicker CompC dual 12" sub box, amp, cords, capacitor, and dial. About $1100 total value and it's all in brand new conditon. I have it listed on marketplace for $800. Am I asking too much? Need help.

Had the box out of the car earlier so I could do a couple things to the box. I don’t really hear the rattling noise when I’m playing music. Only when I record and listen to the play back. The video sounds better with headphones or played on your own sound system.

These are the renders and measurements of a 4th order bandpass enclosure for two DDAudio 608f's.

According to AI, the net volume of each sealed enclosure is ~9.2 liters (~0.32 cuft) and the net volume for the ported enclosure is ~63.8 liters (~2.25 cuft). The port area is ~151.2 cm^2 (~23.4 in^2)

If there are any experts here, i would like some opinions on this enclosure and how it may perform in a car.
