I currently have a PowerSpec G531 that I paid $1,399.99 for:

I’m considering exchanging it for the PowerSpec G535 at $1,699.99:

After tax, the difference would be about $318.

I game at 1440p, mostly Apex, and I’d eventually like to stream on TikTok/OBS.

The reason I’m considering the G535 is that upgrading my current PC to 32GB right now would cost me around $456 for a DDR5-6000 CL30 kit. Even if I sell the original 16GB stick for around $150, I’d still be spending about $306 net just on RAM.

So for roughly $12 more, I’d get 32GB RAM plus the RX 9070 XT instead of the RTX 5070.

My main hesitation is giving up NVIDIA features like NVENC, DLSS, and the NVIDIA streaming ecosystem.

Which would you choose for 1440p gaming and future streaming: keep the G531 and upgrade the RAM, or move to the G535 for ~$318 more?

If anyone owns the G535, I’d also love to know what RAM kit/timings came in yours.

Hi all! I've been looking for a PC for a while. Primarily for gaming but maybe WFH eventually, I don't have a desktop. A bit about what I was looking for:

-I game on my TV, not a monitor, I'll likely camouflage the PC in my living room or move it out of the room when not in use

-I don't currently play modern games that need really high settings but have gradually drifted away from console gaming so I figure someday I might want to try higher end games, so it's not imperative to have amazing specs but I figure I might as well prolong upgrades as long as a can

Hello! I'm not super tech savvy and I want to get a computer, but I don't know where to start looking

I haven't owned a computer in years so I don't really know what the market is like currently. I am mainly looking for a computer for Graphic Design purposes, and to get back into playing video games.

I want something that can run software like Krita, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and video and audio editing softwares.

I haven't played video games in a long time and don't even know really what I want to play. The last time I played games I was super big into Minecraft, Alice Madness Returns, Raft, Sims 4, and a few tabletop simulators. I'm interested in playing games like Elden Ring. I like world exploration and stuff with expansive lore.

What are some options I should start looking into? I don't really have a budget, and don't mind saving up, but ideally I wouldn't want it to be too expensive.

I am looking into a new computer, but it has been forever since I have bought one. For reference I use Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop mainly. Also Audacity for audio recording, sometimes DaVinci Resolve. Not looking to get into gaming or anything, I really only use my computer for editing. Local commercials, longform multicam, highlight videos, social media videos, graphics, After Effects work, etc. Looking for decent render time. I'd also like to store all of my footage when working on it (I usually keep about 700 GB on board at any given moment before dumping it off on an external drive for archiving). Ideally I'd like to stay around $1,000 max. I have a good monitor so I wouldn't need to include that.

Is that doable? Any suggestions? Thank you all so much!

Hi I’m 16 and I want to finally get into playing video games. I’ve always felt left out when my friends and other kids my age would talk about the games they played and struggled with some new relationships (especially when meeting guys) because many of them had a common interest in gaming and I couldn’t do the whole girlfriend who played games with them thing and our relationship would eventually fall flat.

I’m interested in playing games like Final fantasy and resident evil, silent hill, and the Arkham games.. etc..I’ve played games like cyberpunk 2077 on a really terrible laptop that would constantly crash and lag. Same for others like minecraft.

My birthday is coming up soon and I plan to use the money or ask one of my older siblings to buy me a console or pc to start playing.

I was originally saving up for a PS5 but realized that a lot of the games like final fantasy would require a monthly fee to play them after the free trail.

So I’ve been looking into getting a used PC instead, But now I’m really worried because I know a lot of them can lag or crash. and I also don’t have a monitor or anything currently to utilize so I’d have to take that into consideration.

So far my budget is 300$. If I wait until Christmas it will increase to 600$. From my birthday to the new year I want to have some sort of setup by then. (I am also starting a job so this budget may increase, but my mainline prediction is 900$)

I’ve looked on apps like Backmarket and saw some cheap ones going for under 500 but unfortunately I’m not sure which ones would be able to handle games like FFV and red dead redemption.

i live in germany and all of the pr e built companies have overpriced junk all under 1200.

Our budget is 1500-2000 (maybe possibly able to go a little higher).

He was originally going to get a gaming laptop but those come with loads of issues regarding cooling and battery. (Said laptops we were considering were the ASUS V16 or AlienWare Aurora)

Said RPGs he wants to mod are mainly Elder Scrolls games, but he's been considering getting into some more modern titles.

We have a micro center near us.

Preferably 32gb of ram and a good amount of storage, but if you think he only needs 16gb do tell me.

When I say top of the line I mean 5-15kUSD, the top tier stuff.
Large range I know, But I noticed Pc parts vary a lot in prices once you get to the 50 series of graphic cards.

I am a "Content Creator" for lack of a better term, so I spend most of my time Editing Videos, Rendering 3D animations, and working in blender. Live 3D rendering just chews through my ram, and if things keep going the way they have been I imagine it will only keep getting worse so i wanna get ahead of the bell curve.

For my actual profession, I mostly work from home as a 3D modeler in Solid Works and AutoCad, typically in large scale projects.

So I use my PC a lot, and the things I use my Pc for are VERY intensive.
But now my current Pc is on the Fritz and I figured it's time for an upgrade, So I am looking for a place to actually buy the Pc from.

No, I am not willing to build it myself: Nothing aganist those of y'all that know how, you are more capable than me. I'm in Ontario, Canada. Currently exploring my options between building a PC, a prebuilt or buying another gaming laptop.

My budget is around 2000CAD, lower is obviously better but I'm aware that I may need to go a bit over budget, ideally no more than 2500 max.

I am a virtual assistant and a therapist. I see about 50% of my clients as a therapist virtually. So work wise the majority of my use of the computer is browser based but it needs to be able to handle having many tabs/windows open and virtual calls using a platform similar to zoom.

Other than that, I do game however nothing that's too demanding. The most demanding game I play semi-regulary is likely World of Warcraft.

I have a monitor, keyboard and mouse. The only thing I may consider upgrading would be the keyboard and mouse so I can keep my current ones with my laptop for travel to my office.

Any recommendations are appreciated.

My old PC is 6 years old, i am thinking of buying a new one. It is used almost entirely for valorant, where my current pc with a fully optimised game and nothing running at all in the background runs valorant at around 160 fps and around 110 in hectic environments. I have a 240hz moniter a wootin 60he keyboard and a good mouse, i feel like the limiter in my game currently is set by my hardware. This leads me to buying a new one, I have around 1800 pounds put aside for a new one (preferably less), but i want to feel a noticeable difference in performance - with fps in a stable 350-400 range.

Is this in budget?

I have been hearing that there is a RAM shortage so will that drastically effect price?

I would like it hopefully within a week - is this too much to ask for?
