Peak horror.
I picked up three of my favourite games this summer. Fatal Frame is my favourite franchise ever; I can not wait to replay and stream these games in October.

Hey guys,
I am the EIC of RelyOnHorror.com. I had the random idea to pitch our new Discord to the mod team here as an official server for this subreddit, and they were all up for it! So, if you look at the subreddit home, you will now see a direct link to our Discord server -- where you'll be able to talk about the genre with fellow fans. We'll hold general and spoiler discussions, the occasional giveaway and let you know when new content from us has (or will) drop.
Thanks to the mods for the love. Happy to offer a Discord community for you all as fellow fans of the survival horror genre. Here's the Discord link: https://discord.gg/fXCKMer.
Quick background on Rely on Horror - we're a horror gaming site that originally began as REHorror.net. I joined after closing my own horror gaming site, HellDescent.com. We post news, reviews, articles, previews, videos, etc. Happy to chime in if you're curious about the site or Discord. Thanks!

I’ve read it’s really good but I’m worried about the camera angle. I loved fixed cameras most.
Just finished Ground Zero and didn’t enjoy Tormented Souls because the weapons felt weak. I’m on console so I’m limited for the RE clones that I would love to play on a PC. Alisa was amazing but I’m craving something new.

Hi everyone! I’m the solo developer behind From The Bunker, a zombie survival management game I’ve been working on for the past four years.
The gameplay mixes 60 Seconds and Project Zomboid. Manage a group of survivors, expand and defend their bunker, send them on dangerous expeditions, and make difficult choices across more than 200 narrative events.
The world and story are inspired by what I love about Resident Evil: a viral outbreak caused by a biotech corporation, missing virus samples, secret experiments, military operations, and a dangerous bioengineered creature.
The free demo is available now on:

Can’t decide between portable OLED vs PS5 fidelity on a regular flat screen. Advice?

So I found myself struggling with the combat in Crow Country (as intended by the designers, sure, but...), as in I'd love to have a RE style 'press aim button and character will aim at nearest enemy but there's some rng' system instead. Then the old Evil Dead Hail to the King came to mind, which had a really clunky melee-focused combat system without any aiming at all, you just attack the general direction your character is facing.
Any favorites out of these, or did I forget any?

hello guys i recently finished tormented souls 1 and i have to say while the game was kind of clunky and had terrible voice acting it just grabbed me instantly and i couldn't put it down. the puzzles were also simple enough to never having to google guides to move forward but still made you feel good when u solved them. so basically im looking for similar experience. i think i prefer the fixed camera angles games instead of over the shoulder cause im using a controller and aiming with it is hard compared to kbm.
i have already played silent hill 1-3 and resident evil 1-3.
also i know there is a tormented souls 2 but i feel like i need to find another game first cause ill get sad once im done with 2 and no other game to look forward to.
im on pc btw and im sorry if game recommendations is bad and i should just google but most of the older threads didn't really have the same specifications as i have.

A while ago I posted here asking for brutally honest feedback on my survival horror game, The Taking.
The response was incredibly helpful, so I took the feedback onboard and made a major update improving the atmosphere, audio, environments, enemy encounters and overall presentation.
This new trailer shows how the game looks now. There’s also an updated free demo on Steam if anyone wants to try it.
I’d love to know whether it feels like an improvement, And you can still be brutally honest.
