Buying 2021 Svartpilen but ODO meter says KMMILES
I’m buying my first bike and after weeks of research I know for sure I’m getting a svartpilen (preferably 20-23 models). Found a few on FB marketplace and I’m a little confused about the mileage. There is one posting I’m interested in and it states the mileage is 4500 mileage. But when he took the picture of the ODO meter it says 4500 kmmiles on the gauge. Again it says kmmiles and not miles. I went and looked at a few other FB marketplace listings and maybe 2 out of 6 do the same thing. They say it’s only x amount of mileage but when they show the odo meter it says x in kmmiles. Are the sellers not aware that it’s in km? Or is it a software bug that shows km but it’s really mi? Any help is appreciated.
My 2020 701 Enduro dash is switchable between kM/Mi... You have to access a programming menu with the engine off to change it.
A couple years ago my brother made out like a bandit on a 2018 701SM that was listed as having about 3000mi, but was actually showing km before the change.
Only about 1900 miles for $5K!
page 179: only one or the other should be displayed, but they are on different areas so I can see how, due to a bug, it would light up both kms and miles.
What you can do is to try to change the unit during a viewing (or ask the sellers about this). The lower number is the miles
Hmm really weird, mine only says km not kmmiles but my country uses metric so only km is correct. But I've found a picture on google that also says kmmiles here. If I had to guess it's miles not km
I looked at mine. If the kill switch is active And the key is on it will say kmmiles. As soon as you turn the bike on it will default to the unit you are using. No problem here this is normal. You can see in your photo the kill switch is on.
