Hi everyone,

I’ve been using SwissBorg for several years and overall I really like the platform. But I’ve run into a major issue with the transaction CSV export that makes tax reporting extremely difficult.

The CSV includes internal SwissBorg operations (thematic rebalancing, bundle reallocations, internal token movements) mixed together with real user‑initiated transactions (actual buys, sells, swaps, deposits, withdrawals).

For tax purposes, only real user transactions matter, but the CSV doesn’t separate them. This makes it almost impossible to identify:

• which trades were actually made by the user
• which entries are internal SwissBorg operations
• which transactions should be imported into tax software
• which ones should be ignored

The only quick way to locate real user‑initiated trades seems to be through the notifications section inside the app, but even that is incomplete and limited. It doesn’t provide full details, and it isn’t a proper exportable transaction history. Unless a user manually writes down every single trade as it happens, there is no reliable, complete source of real user transactions in the current SwissBorg app.

The bigger issue: every exchange should legally be required to provide clean, accurate user transaction data

After dealing with these inadequacies, I’ve realised something important:

The number one thing every wallet and exchange should provide is a simple, accurate CSV export of real user taxable transactions, nothing more, nothing less.

If regulators (MiCA, FCA, etc.) required this as a basic standard:

• users could report taxes easily
• retail participation would increase
• people wouldn’t be scared of tax mistakes
• platforms would be more transparent
• trust in crypto would grow
• users wouldn’t have to fight through internal operations and noise

Right now, SwissBorg’s CSV export makes tax reporting harder, not easier.
A platform at the forefront of innovation should be making this process simple, not more complex.
