I know this is a struggle everyone goes through, but i'd really appreciate any help if possible.

I just graduated and wrapped up my B.S. in Management information systems. I have about 3 years in logistics and distribution operations, and 1 year 1/2 in a admin associate position(current).

I was able to get my google PM Cert, ScrumMaster Cert and a couple of AI certs. I did 2 projects on Software implementations, and never was able to get an internship for being "too qualified"

I've been actively applying for over a year now and have had no chance whatsoever. The best i've done was make it to a final round at Motorola but I don't even know how I was able to.

If anyone could possibly point me to someone they know or issue a referral/reference I would greatly appreciate it. Looking specifically for jobs in IT or any other befitting space - Roles such as - IT Project Coordinator, Implementations specialist, or ops & systems Management.

I also have hands on experience building PC's to resell online a while back in 2018-2020 while i was in HS.

I would much appreciate any help or assistance :)

Title pretty much sums it up. I’m currently 8 months into a level 1 help desk position. Due to some life events I have the next 4 months off from school and am looking to fill the gap with a potential certificate but I’m not sure where to start first.

Since I’m graduating with an associates in cybersecurity and network administration I was thinking of skipping the network+ and security+ and going straight into something higher level like CySa or CISSP, but would love some input. Am I putting too much value on associate degrees?

Hello! I've been working as a technology consultant for the last two years but my my ultimate goal is to get into cybersecurity. I know cybersecurity is not an entry level career, so I'm looking for my next role to begin that transition by getting into a true IT role like a systems analyst or cloud analyst. I plan on doing a lot more hands on things now to add to projects since I've finished a couple certs.

I'm based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and I've been working as an IT Service Desk & Workplace Support Engineer for the past 3 years.

I'm now looking to move into a Junior Systems Administrator role with more focus on infrastructure.

Do you think this is the right time to start applying for junior sysadmin positions? What skills or certifications would you recommend focusing on to make the transition? And if you've made a similar move, how did you do it?

Been in It for 4 years, 3 on helpdesk and the last year on server administration. I don't have the years experience most places like but I work at a smaller shop so have had the luck to have hands on experience with a lot of diffrent tools and systems, specifically administration of red hat servers. I hope you all been well. I have a few questions because I’m transitioning from the IT support field to sysadmin. I have a couple of projects created all the way to deployment on Linux and bash/shell. My question is, how can I modify my resume in order to show case that since all the experience in my resume is towards IT support? I know I can add the projects I have but should my resume focus on the projects I have create or the experience and place the projects on the side?

I’m sorry if this is confusing. Any suggestions are welcome.

For example, take their job advert. Opening statement, applying for a role at a specific organisation, fluff up with what you think you can bring. Couple of sentences.

Whatever skills they require, give bullet points of your experience in what they’re looking for. Even though you might not have that particular skill just bullet it and say you’ve had similar experience or looking to get into it.

Always worked for me. Then brush up on your interview skills.
