Question/Advice Advice needed: Placement help for patchwork
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I want to go for traditional patchwork everywhere and I’m starting with my leg. I’m afraid I may have messed up the placements (especially on my lower leg). Soon I’m getting the shading done for my shin, but after that what should I do to ensure that I get that patchwork style? Any help would be appreciated lol

you have a lot of open space so i say just start getting some big pieces before worrying about filling in the spaces in between. i was working with multiple artists at first on my arm before finding one i really liked and we filled out the whole arm together. once we had enough big pieces to work around we could get ideas from what space we had left. some filler ideas were a coffe plant, sage and barbed wire.

Fair, I’d honestly ask the next one. Maybe try to land on one for the next few and work with them. That’s what I did when I found the person and style I liked and it’s all coming together really well now

I would personally do around the knee at this point. Would do a good job filling in the front of your leg

Only 15% of your leg is covered. Don’t worry about placement and filler yet. Focus on big pieces you love. Fill in smaller gaps and ask advice when you get to that point.
