Astronomical Image Saturn
Saturn taken with manual 10” dob
ES 6,7mm 82° eyepiece
2x barlow
iPhone 14 pro
4k video 60fps and manually selected one frame that looks good.
Edited a bit of color and brightness in the native photo app.
I am a beginner so now I am going to learn how to stack and process to achieve better results.

If this is just one frame you are gonna get great results when you learn the stacking and sharpening side of things.

Did you use an eyepiece filter or no?

That is fantastic! When I look through my telescope Saturn has a blue/purple hue which is why I was asking. Thank you for sharing your photo!

Do you have a newtonian telescope?

It's an Orion ST80 refractor telescope. Overall I enjoy it! It's a used one and was a $20 Facebook Marketplace purchase. I've been debating about buying eye piece filters to help with the halo effect around Jupiter and Saturn but have been holding off because I'm debating on upgrading in general.

That halo is chromatic aberration that usually appears in refractor telescopes. Idk if filters could help in your case

Oh! Thank you VERY much for sharing that with me! Looks like I'll be putting that money towards an upgrade. 😄

Yo, sick picture. Bro, how did you get such a good pic with your IPhone? However, nice job. Edit: I just saw it is just one frame, bro where did you take that photo. I'm impressed!
