Do I really need to spend money to get drops so I can grind for my spy weapons?

You don't, you can get all the weapons in the game for free if you just play the game via random drop sistem, altough it will take a while. You can also go to the mann co store and 1 try weapon at a time for free for a week.

No, you dont. All players have acces to weapon drops no matter if they have premium or not. Premium only gives access to cosmetic drops and ability to chat in casual

Unless you want to actually grind for them for the fun of the process, I would just buy them for the like 3 cents each that they are

You can get all weapons in the game for ~$1 via something like scrap.tf (Buy a tour of duty ticket and trade it for basically every weapon in the game)

You don't need Prem to get all weapon drops. Just play until you hit the weekly cap.

The only problem is that, without prem, all your stuff is untradable and you can't craft hats. Also it's significantly faster to get all the weapons you want on a premium account.

Premium doesnt make you able to get weapons, you can get them enev if you are f2p, premium allows you to get paints, tags and hats from drops
