HELLO EVERYONE!
Hello everyone! I am Soyorin (u/Phone_Tall), the creator of the ROC series.
After months of painstaking development, coding, and refining, I am beyond thrilled to announce that ROC 2020 is officially RELEASED!
Following the foundational shifts of ROC 2000, the high-stakes polarization of ROC '04, and the multi-party chaos of ROC 2024, we are finally bringing you the definitive chapter of modern Taiwanese political history.
A SECRET SURPRISE IN THE FINAL STAGE...
Before diving into the features, I have one major revelation. During the final polish phase, we decided to add one last secret playable candidate.
He is a legendary figure who has appeared in virtually every ROC mod ever made as a background heavyweight or opponent, yet players have NEVER actually been able to play as him—until now. Will you be able to restore his mandate and navigate his political legacy? Discover him in the candidate selection!
HISTORICAL BACKDROP: FROM LANDSLIDE TO SOVEREIGNTY SHOWDOWN
Following her historic landslide victory in 2016, President Tsai Ing-wen faced mounting domestic resistance over pension reforms, labor law adjustments, and energy grid blackouts, culminating in a disastrous midterm defeat in November 2018.
However, 2019 changed everything. Escalating cross-strait tensions, the Hong Kong protests, and the US-China trade war transformed the 2020 election into a high-stakes, existential referendum on Taiwan’s identity, sovereignty, and democratic future.

Gameplay Guides for both Green candidates in Germany 2021

Unless I'm proven wrong and there is a better way, these answers should give you the best possible result as the Greens in this very fine mod. With them, you should get at least 30% of the vote and around 260 seats in the Bundestag, and will be able to form a government with only the SPD, without being held down by the Free Democrats or the Left.
[Make sure to hire or dismiss advisors BEFORE answering a question]
Annalena Baerbock
- [Hire Scharfschwerdt] We need a fresh breath of air after these 14 years of Merkel and GroKo's.
- Since the beginning of the pandemic, there hasn’t been enough of a focus on children and families.
- I want to detail my visions for the future in my new book: “Now - How we’re renewing our Country”.
- After eight years of Grand coalition and sixteen years of CDU chancellorship, we need change
- It’s clear that the SPD is not going to win this election.
- [Hire Buntenbach] While we want to remain a member of NATO, of course, I am skeptical towards the goal to spend 2% of our gross domestic product on defense.
- There’s no way around it - Germany is an immigration country.
- The Federal Courts have given us a clear message: if you protect the climate, you’re protecting freedom.
- We are co-party leaders and I want to campaign a lot as a dynamic duo.
- I will apologize for this mistake, I’ve reported these earnings now.
- With our crumbling public transport, cars are necessary for our rural population.
- We need to replace the Hartz IV-system with a “citizen’s money”, in which recipients would receive at least 50€ more.
- I think the people are tired of politics-as-usual, especially after 16 years of Merkel.
- Oh come on… it was never my goal to embellish my CV, I just made some honest mistakes here.
- We need to focus on data protection.
- We need a “safety limit”
- It's clear that the current system is unsafe.
- I want to promote the book on every rally and give out copies at a discounted price.
- We need to emphasize the creation of more social housing, built by modern standards, available for those who need it most.
- You’re right, I need to show my leadership during these tough times.
- [Fire Scharfschwerdt, hire Lemke] I don’t just want to promise climate action, I want to make it concrete.
- (4519, Saarland fixed)
- The states of Berlin and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern have their state elections parallel to our federal elections.
- [Fire Lemke, hire Dahmen] Overall, we are on the right path with the vaccination campaign.
- Cannabis is a societal reality, like alcohol.
- With the Social Democrats demotivated as they are, we can set our sights onto Laschet.
- [Fire Dahmen, hire Jarasch] The future doesn’t just happen - it’s created.
- To finance necessary government spending, taxes on the rich have to be raised.
- While we of course disavow any cooperation with the AfD, I also can not imagine a good working relationship with Die Linke.
- While §218 is a settled compromise from our societal discussions, we are for striking the §219a ad ban
- Weeks ago, The Greens proposed to get local German staff to safety, but SPD and Union refused.
- This country needs a change in government, and Laschet is a vulnerable candidate.
- For the last 16 years, this country has been governed by the CDU/CSU, and they are out of ideas on what to do in government.
- [Fire Jarasch, hire Habeck] (4533, Dobrindt wins)
- Winfried Kretschmann is the only Green Minister-President and a very important figure of the Realo-wing.

Robert Habeck
- [Hire Kellner and Trittin] We need a fresh breath of air after these 14 years of Merkel and GroKo's.
- Since the beginning of the pandemic, there hasn’t been enough of a focus on children and families.
- Fridays for Future is capable of mobilizing a massive amount of people.
- I don’t like to be this cynical, but at the end of the day, it’s a numbers game.
- [Fire Trittin, hire Baerbock] Through elections, a country decides its future.
- Our polling numbers in West Germany are great, but we are struggling to even get to 10% in many East German states.
- We don’t want to rock the boat here. Let’s let Annalena make some statements, she’s the foreign policy expert.
- There’s no way around it - Germany is an immigration country.
- This decision isn't just about the numbers.
- I recognize that we have a problem with not enough women being in the highest positions of power.
- I can only wonder about the obliviousness and self righteousness of the other parties.
- The current level of Hartz IV is a disgrace.
- I think the people are tired of politics-as-usual, especially after 16 years of Merkel.
- We need to focus on data protection.
- When I was minister in Schleswig-Holstein, I talked with everyone, even with people who would never vote Green.
- We need a “safety limit”: A lot of accidents and deaths could be avoided if people wouldn’t be speeding excessively.
- It's clear that the current system is unsafe.
- Annalena Baerbock has already admitted that these were mistakes, and of course they were regrettable.
- We need to emphasize the creation of more social housing, built by modern standards, available for those who need it most.
- Of course, I want to travel there, talk to affected people and show myself as a man of action.
- [Fire Kellner, hire Heinrich] Above all, the rescue of people's lives is most important.
- (4519, Saarland fixed)
- [Fire Baerbock, hire Günther] I’m quite content with our polling numbers in West Germany, but we are still far behind in East Germany.
- Reason and freedom have to prevail, but we have to take the vaccines to the people, not the other way around.
- Cannabis is a societal reality, like alcohol.
- With the Social Democrats demotivated as they are, we can set our sights onto Söder.
- We have to readjust our financial politics, to introduce a clause for internal improvements in our debt ceiling.
- While we of course disavow any cooperation with the AfD, The Left has failed to quell doubts about their ability to govern.
- While §218 is a settled compromise from our societal discussions, we are for striking the §219a ad ban
- For all of us, we have to have tolerance to the counter argument.
- Something that poignantly showcased the lack of responsibility in this debacle is that everyone’s pointing fingers again.
- I will leave petty attacks to my opponents and focus more on policy.
- The CDU/CSU has been in government for 16 years, the SPD for 8.
- (4533, Ziemiak wins)
- Annalena, despite some minor issues, has been a loyal and effective co-party-leader at my side

Event Has New Campaign Trail Become Irrelevant?
Up till now, the one thing New Campaign Trail had going for it was that Yupperdoo uploaded his mods there. Now that Yupperdoo has uploaded his most popular mods to CTS, New Campaign Trail had lost most of its exclusivity. Honestly, the only mod I can think of that's only on NTS that I like is Midnight 1965.
Personally, I think that NTS is just going to be a place that the winners of Dan Bryan Awards upload their mods so they can get a special color.

Gameplay Scenario Review | 1998 MN Gov
- Scenario #27 | 1998 MN Gov
- Made by: pm_me_reddit_memes
- Released: 7/16/2021
This is the second statewide mod covering Minnesota's 1998 gubernatorial election, where the third party celebrity candidate Jesse Ventura shocked everyone by winning in a total upset.
Only Ventura is playable (not that I mind, playing as Coleman and Humphrey would be pretty boring). There are a few differences between this and the first statewide mod - 2018 GA Gov, made by the same person. For instance, instead of making a custom county map the creator opted to use the normal map and remove all the other states. A positive of this is that the state summary works unlike in 2018 GA, although the mechanics of appealing to only one “state” worsen the game.

(Also, it looks a bit off).
An unconventional candidate like Jesse Ventura is hard to write for, and for the most part the mod handles it pretty well. Like Trump in 2016, Ventura was able to win by controlling the narrative around him and weaponizing anti-establishment populism, which is reflected in the gameplay. A lot of the outlandish stuff Ventura did, like star in an ad where he posed as Rodin’s Thinker, ended up working to his benefit.
However, 1998 MN falters in its polling. In real life, Ventura outperformed polls by almost 10%. In this mod, the polling in question 25 is the same as in the results, making this a much more difficult game than it should be which is a huge issue. Ventura also loses a few percentage points after he announces support for legalizing prostitution even though in real life it didn’t affect his numbers at all.
1998 MN Gov is a bit constrained by its mechanics (such as inconsistent RNG), however mostly pulls off capturing the oddness of a campaign like Ventura’s, who is a fun candidate to play as.
RATING: 6/10

Gameplay How Did Modders Create State Margins in the Olden Days?
I couldn't imagine trying to create a mod's state polling margins without Jet's coding tool or Strawberry Master's extension. So how did the OG Modders create margins from scratch and make them look decent?
As an example, the original 1996 mod which has great margins and was the 8th mod not created by DB.

Contribution 2025NL: Jetten gets Robbed

I keep coming back to these damn Netherlands mods, there's just so many things you can do with it!
Anyway, i figured out a way to get D66 to 10 seats while playing the GL/PvdA. Here's a guide if you want to do it.
(Keep in mind, D66 won this past election with 26 seats.)
1: In any merger there will inevitably be detractors. They are free to state their concerns...
2: The inevitable conclusion of a party like the PVV being included.
3: Mariëtte Hamer has held a great many number of respected posts and has some distance.
4: Unlike the VVD, whose commitment to our international safety only goes as far as they need the...
5: The safety of the iron dome is what is encouraging Netanyahu to act the way he does.
6: Friends! This is not the way. We are a big tent with a variety of different viewpoints.
7: We can't let the renter down by letting Keijzer gut the act again. We will be working with the PVV to block her indefinitely.
8: Let's not allow this to distract from the message. Many thousands of people have come to make a...
9: We're going to announce we will vote for the PVV's amendments...
10: We need to turn the page with relentless ambition.
11: The lax attitude of the cabinet makes it complicit in Israel's genocide. No more.
12: We cannot tolerate the VVD and BBB to coming out of this mess with more power.
13: I shall wield my royal authority. I order Geert Wilders, Frans Timmermans, Dilan Yesilgöz...
14: We would be importing beef from South America...
15: This is yet again an outflow of the horrible decision made by the VVD to govern with the PVV.
16: PVV and FvD also intend to sign it. It will be a dead letter if those parties that caused this...
17: The VVD knows very well there will be no majority without either PVV or GL/PvdA.
18: We can balance somewhat on this matter. Surrogates, especially from GroenLinks...
19: I am here to make a statement like all those other people who came here today.
20: The preparation for the debate debate was unfortunately more unnerving than expected for me as well. I was harassed on a terrace in Amsterdam by anti-migration protestors. But the social majority of nice people is bigger and we will not let them intimidate us.
21: Rob Jetten could pull the rug under our hold over the left-progressive flank.
22: I want an apology, this is no way to practice politics. Some people will take such matters seriously.
23: D66 refuses to rule out cooperation with JA21. This makes the situation very clear...
24: One answer
25: Lisa Westerveld is quite popular, and balances me in gender and party color.
