Fun Size Thoth

Post image

This is cute. They make a “pocket sized” Thoth deck that fits in the palm of your hand.

The colours look a little washed out on the new decks.

I have a very old deck back from the early 90's that is normal size and a later larger deck from AGM

They have always been pretty washed out on every edition I have seen and I have a pretty extensive collection. But not as washed out as my 1973 edition! The only thing that bothers me about the newer printings is the borders. I wish they would go back to borderless but I suppose that's a cheap printing thing. This edition at least adds a brown tinge to the borders on the back of the cards.

Oh my I need this! Didn’t know it came in this size, I have the normal large-ish cards and also the one size smaller.

You know theres a 777 1/2 book out now?

It's been out for a while actually but what does that have to do with my post? :)

EDIT: Sorry I thought you were talking about the book 776 1/2

So a half sized 777? The two copies I have are pretty small already, I can't imagine reading anything smaller ... some of those tables are hardly legible with my aging eyes :)

There’s a bootleg one you can get on etsy and ebay (pretty obvious from the cartoonish ankh/rose cross on the back).

The deck is even smaller, but the colors are more vibrant, and shows a bit more depth. Looks more like water color like it should. Sometimes they run pretty cheap (but still pretty well made).

Used it as a traveling altar deck for a while. Nifty to have, even just to compare with the more official releases.
