Visiting with limited mobility

Edit: the person in question is skipping the match, so advice isn´t needed anymore. But thank you very much. I just bought tickets for the ones that are going and I´m really looking forward to it!

Hello, I want to buy tickets for the September 7 game - we're visiting from The Netherlands and it will be our first football game - but I was wondering what the situation for people with limited mobility is. Somebody in the group uses a walker and has trouble with stairs. I see that the stadium had multiple elevators, but to be clear: all seats are accessible from the elevators without any stairs? And are there sections that are better for somebody with limited mobility?

Apologies if this is a simple question. I saw a recent thread with a similar question and I also asked this to the club on CB, but I just want to make sure that there are no surprises when visiting. Thanks :)

First Ticats game

I’m an alouettes fan who is moving to Hamilton to work at McMaster. I’m planning on attending the alouettes vs ticats game on the 18th and will probably get a season ticket package to the ticats for next season. When I go to Ticats games I plan to support them with the exception of when they play the alouettes. My dad is telling me not to wear alouettes jersey on the 18th because he thinks I’ll get jumped, but I think he just has a backwards idea of Hamilton because he lives in midtown Toronto. Am I correct in assuming nothing bad will happen to me for cheering for the alouettes as long as I’m respectful to the people around me

Lifelong fan probable last game

Gonna take my stepdad and nephews to what will probably be his last game. He’s got mobility issues walking past 200m but I don’t want to use his handicapped pass for seating. Any suggestions on which area I should look for seating? I’m not really worried about him falling over or conquering a few stairs cause I’m strong enough to handle that.
Thank you appreciate any advice

First Ti-Cats Game Tomorrow

Hey everyone,

My dad and I are coming in for the game tomorrow. We usually are NFL guys and make it to a Packers game every year, but with everything going on, we’d rather stick closer to home.

We’re thinking of coming in early afternoon and maybe going to Bernie’s for dinner and a drink before the game (open to suggestions).

The big reason for the post is that we’re pretty uninformed about the team. What are the big stories this year? Any young guys to be excited for? Basically, what would you tell someone about the team who knows nothing about them?

Looking forward to being there tomorrow!

This team is hard to watch

Another bad game.

Ford looked like the Ford that got him cut elsewhere. Horrible throws, inaccurate beyond about 12 yards. No run game. Best play was the kick returned for TD. Guy seems to have no football sense.

Hearing Ferguson during the game keep saying, "Milanovich doesn't know what he has in Ford since he hasn't seen snaps during practice" is massive cringe. HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW WHAT YOUR BACKUP CAN DO. Did we learn nothing from Powell? Of course not. We put all our eggs in one basket, an aging, injury prone basket. Now that he's hurt, again, in his leg, again, we have no idea what to do. No other teams have this issue. Milanovich has refused to pull Miltchell even when it makes sense to (eg. game is out of hand, he's having a bad night, backups need snaps in a real game) and so we have to build the car as we drive it, again.

DC has gotta go. Softest D in the league. We give up so much on every play in the hope we don't get burned on a long play, but we do anyway after we pressure the QB and he launches one. Secondary stopped playing thinking the play is over, then they get embarassed. McManis being tossed for that knee to the head/shoulder was a horribly selfish, stupid act.

When it mattered, again, we could not get a series going nor stop the opponent. You can't give this type of space to the Als and expect to win.

The score flattered the Cats, the game wasn't nearly as close as the score showed.

Sadly, since we kicked Powell to the curb and picked up cast offs from other teams as our plan B, we are screwed for the rest of the year. This year could easily end with only 1 more win.

So, we firing him, right?

McManis, of course. Theres bo need, no rhyme or reason to kick a man in the head while hes down

Ejecting him from the game isnt enough, I say blackball him from the CFL

Snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

Once again we figure out a way to lose in the 2nd half, 4th quarter specifically. That was our game to lose and we lost it.

Mitchell being hurt was not the x-factor but it didn't help - though Ford looked average to poor and Dolegala not much better.

Weak effort from the D in 2nd half, inability to get a run game established (another trademark) - it's so tiring watching this team.

Where do we go from here? It seems like it's a mix of talent/depth, coaching and front office gaffes, confidence placed where it doesn't belong and that throwing money at problems will fix everything.

It's tiring being a Cats fan I tell you.

Best Tailgate/Pre Game Spots?

Hi everyone. I’m from Toronto and looking to come to my first TiCats game and immerse myself in the fan experience. Any suggestions on where the best atmosphere is? Any specific tailgate lots or bars I should check out?

Half Time Performers Deserve To Have An Audience

It was kind of weird at the Home Opener to watch Terra Lightfoot play to... an empty field. The live band concept at half time doesn't work with the new end zone 'Porter' section being a seating area. I think the Stadium team should rotate the stage and have the Half Time band play for the people in the Entertainment Zone, we can watch the show on the Jumbotron in the stands.

It all just felt very strange, I felt bad for the band honestly
