Storm Watching Accommodations?

A friend and I are hoping to visit Tofino for a few days, probably in November, so we'd like to be in sight of the water for storm watching. We'd also love a hot tub and a fireplace. We need separate bedrooms since we both snore. We're open to a hotel/resort or cabin.

I'm a little overwhelmed with the google options so wanted to see if anyone has experience with places like this! We're not bottom budget but we also don't have 5-star money for this.

Never been to Tofino before (I live in Vic) so also open to suggestions of places to shop or chillax things to do. We're more "cozy vacation" than "adventure vacation" people.

We stayed at the Black Rock resort in Ucluelet, and the storm watching had one advantage over Tofino: lots of big rocks for the waves to smash into. There’s also a seaside trail where you can watch big waves crash into, and over, massive rocks. Very exhilarating!

This is our go too in the winter and they have a deal right now for the winter. Thrill33. Essentially get a third night free.

We stay at Crystal cove - there are beach front and ocean view cabins with hot tubs. Either fireplaces or wood burning stoves (which are my preference - they don’t smell and are so cozy)! Easy access to brave heading down to the beach too!

Sarah McLachlan's place is quite nice if you don't mind paying. It certainly ticks all the boxes...

If I were storm watching I'd probably go to Port Renfrew over Tofino. Check put Wild Renfrew Seaside Cottages.

Is the storm watching better in Port Renfrew?

I've never done it in Tofino but PR is amazing (there are cottages right on the water). My son and his wife go there every year.

It's closer to Victoria and I suspect it's also quite a bit cheaper.
