This is Pumpkin and her kittens Coco, Tiki, Cali, Bear, and Medusa.
I live in an area with a huge feral cat population. This precious girl showed up early last spring and I fed her pretty regularly for a while, but over the winter I only saw her once.
She reappeared this spring with a BB gun wound and full term pregnancy. She was very skittish at first, I’m afraid she had a pretty rough winter. After debating what to do I decided to take her in so she could have her kittens in a safe warm environment.
We had one and she thought she was a ferret for a while because she was raised with ferrets. She was also terrifying crazy, everyone was afraid to move her if she sat on them because she’d rip someone’s face off if she didn’t like something. We had a food delivery guy who would train new guys and when they came in our house he would tell the new guy “don’t go near that cat”. The vet office requested we give her gabapentin before appointments.
Then she got to about 17 years old and she chilled out. 😂 Unless she met another cat. She didn’t like those.
So beautiful! I have a dilute tortie named Chi Chi and her daughter Ash, who’s a black cat, and they are both chonky and feisty and own my heart ❤️ beautiful babies
I wondered often what my old girl would have looked like as a baby .. I inherited her when my father passed, we only had her a year and lost her recently.
"Feisty, huge personality" was very much my old girl, too. Your little one looks exactly like her.
Here’s my dilutie cutie. She has the funniest personality & the cutest quirks (she repeatedly snorts through her nose when she gets mad or upset - which is often), never met or had a cat like her. The Tortitude is MASSIVE; but deep deep down she is a huge softie who doesn’t like to show it.
The first one born was one of the white ones and me not having much experience with cats and zero experience with kittens assumed that they must be born hairless because I was sure there was no way she had a white kitten
What sick f&;! would shoot a pregnant cat with a bb? Or anything else???
She's beautiful, and so are her babies. I don't think I've seen many torties with white kittens, but I'd probably keep them all. I love cats so much.
I'd rather be with cats than people. I have three now, two torties and the orange brother of one of them. The other human in our home is my kid in college to become a veterinarian.

Who's cutting onions in here? Honestly she and her kittens have been a huge blessing to my kids and I. They have brought so much joy and love into our lives.

She looks like a reincarnated version of my Frida. She just passed this year. Same markings. She lived a very long life. Over 20yrs old. 😭😭I miss her so muchhhh.
At least you were aware of her pregnancy and she wasn’t a Trojan tortie!
Please keep her safe and make sure her babies find good homes. Also, if you can please please spay her. Especially when you say there’s a decent feral population already
Trojan tortie, 😂. She's so tiny I could tell right away. The babies were kicking away in there. They all have an appointment to get spayed/neutered and shots next month.
I love cats and feed all the strays by me. Currently 14+, including 5 kittens and my 2 indoor cats( both strays at one point) Thank you for taking care of and being kind to cats. ❤️
She has a forever home here it’s just a matter of figuring how she and my dogs can get along. They are kept separate on opposite sides of the house right now but I’d like her to have free roam of the house eventually.
She’s gorgeous!!! I swear, dilute torties always love me the minute we meet; I’ve made friends with so many whose owners say they hate them 😂. They must sense something in my personality that makes me a kindred spirit, haha.
More kitties kept appearing as you swipe through the pictures! I was like oh, 2 babies, how cute, next, oh there's 3! Yay for baby kitties, next, hmm, a puddle of kitties, is that another body? Then they're all lined up to finally be able to count them!
A photo from today. I can't tell you how much I appreciate all of your comments and photos! I ordered some acrylic panels that should be here today. We'll be setting them up with a bigger play area since they're quickly outgrowing the nest box. It takes at least three of us to keep track of them when they get out for kitten kindergarten with their mama.
