Dilute Tortie I have never met such a cuddly cat
This is Miga. She found my fiancé in 2020 when she was almost 1 (we aren’t sure but she wasn’t fully an adult) and she never left. If she sees you sit down, it’s over. She loves to sit on laps, she loves to be held, and every night she cuddles with us. She greets strangers at the door. She does have tortie-tude and RBF at times and it cracks us up. Usually by 10:30pm SHARP she is meowing at us because it’s bedtime. I just wanted to share our sweet girl.

Typical Tortie This tortie visits every day, slept in a rocking chair on the porch last night, left us a dead mouse 🎁
As far as we know, she is about 6 years old, but no one on our street knows much more than that. She is very friendly and talkative, and I love her eyebrows!

🌈Rainbow Bridge🌈 Missing my girl
Rose went to sleep on August 18th at the age of 15. It still doesn't feel real. I keep expecting her to appear while I'm up around the house. Its so quiet without her.
She wasn't the most vocal but she would thunder around the house in the mornings and evenings like a little racehorse. She enjoyed watching people eat and do crafts, and she was an ice cream fiend. She loved going on walks outside. That girl loved a warm spot on the ground, whether it was a sunbeam, the patio outdoors, or the rug in front of the wood stove. She would flop down and scrunch across the ground like a weird little worm.
She was my constant companion, and she helped me through dark times by being a joy. She would come and disrupt my bed-rotting by walking across my chest. She would climb up the side of my bed, sometimes scaring the shit out of me. She loved to spook people.
I hope to see her again one day, my sweet baked bean queen. My little diva bug and wacky, wild woman. I'm so grateful to have been her person.

Typical Tortie Caution for fellow cat/tortie lovers
My poor Phoebe. She is 5 and allergic to the fancy feast Perrrfection treats and I didn’t realize! She ended up having a major infection/abscess in her butt and emergency surgery, two weeks of cone and meds. I feel horrible but she never gets those treats again and I will baby her for the rest of her life! Seeing her in pain on Sunday and calling for help was the worst! The vets at the emergency and my regular vet were top notch and got her fixed up pronto! Be careful when feeding them those rich treats! Our other cat is fine with them but not my precious Phoebe

🌈Rainbow Bridge🌈 Goodbye Elvira
I came home from running errands this morning and found Elvira had suddenly passed away. I am happy she was home and it appears she didn’t suffer. I am pretty shaken up about it since I was the one who found her. She was 13-14 years old, no recent medical issues we knew about. Cuddle your torties close tonight for us.

Typical Tortie Bear loves her pod!
At first, we put her things in her pod just to keep them collected in one place (and mitigate claw stretches on carpet a little) but she LOVES it! We have young kids who are respectful, but loud and excitable. This allows her to be with us in the living room without the stress of having to look over her shoulder for little hands.
She gets so relaxed in there, and we’ve lost her sleeping in her bed inside the pod before!
We originally bought this setup for our bearded dragon to chill outside, but Princess Bear seems to be the rightful owner now!

❔Question/Advice❔ My sweet 3 month old baby
My fiancé rescued her from the street when she was approximately 1month and a half.
She so sweet and she so curious not afraid at all !
Also do you have any recommendations on how to stop her from biting ? 😬 that sweet thing is a bitter and I’m bit worried if she doesn’t grow out of it. The vet said to be strict with her “saying no, ignoring her when she bites or a little tap on the nose” we’ve been doing all that but she’s doesn’t stop, any advice ? Or is it normal at this age ?
Thank you all !
