Toyhouse is a great media to store characters and have fandoms in, but here are a few things you should know before jumping right in

There is virtually no mod team There is only one admin on board who checks their pages every other day, so if you are getting harassed, have characters/art stolen, etc. Don't expect them to get banned if you report them. The admin will ban extreme cases of mass art theft with obvious evidence, but will not step in on petty arguments. They gets hundreds of tickets every week and their help desk is useless.

It is very hard to delete your account Toyhouse can only "close" or deactivate an account unless you are part of the European Union. To close an account, as stated above, you need to file a ticket. There is no way for a user to automatically delete their account. If you want the account opened up, you have to email them and if you're lucky you'll be reactivated.

All username changes will be publicly logged Since changing usernames is often a tactic for harassers/scammers to get away, toyhouse implemented a system that shows a user's past usernames if they have any, even if they activate all their privacy settings, that is the only one that remains public Example user: https://toyhou.se/Jabberwok/stats/usernames

There is a forum section to calling out users for poor business (PSA/Bewares) If you are an artist who wants to review a customer or vice versa, check if they have any ongoing PSAs against them for not paying or scamming someone. __This is not a forum post to call out others for bad actions (cheating on you, harassing others, etc), this is only a business review section. If you want to avoid all drama, avoid being too public and there is Quiet Mode that can be activated in the settings This will prevent users from DMing you unless you approved them

Alternative forms of canon characters are not allowed Say you want to make a form of Sonic the Hedgehog where he's Super & in Werehog form, that is not allowed. Anything that can be related to a canon or copyrighted character is not allowed. However, making your own Sonic OCs unrelated to the canon universe is allowed. Refsheet is an alternative if you want to have those kinds of characters.

You can Approve users to view secret characters bulletins If you have a small friend group of five you want to privitely share things with, you can approve them, and change your settings of characters to only them. While you may be invisible in the public eye, it can be full of friends!

With everything, there is drama, meet the toyhouse dramas blog https://thdramas.tumblr.com/ While not strictly on toyhouse, thdramas is a drama vent blog for any user to anonymously send their thoughts and opinions about any user, with or without evidence (slander). There are several users who get publicly shamed on the blog every month for various reasons. Just stay out of trouble and be an original person and you'll likely never be seen there.

There are A LOT of closed species https://toyhou.se/~forums/5868.species-discussion Toyhouse thrives on building a community of people who make closed species, and not many open ones. Closed species essentially means you can't make your own character based on it. While there are no legal grounds on it, making an unapproved closed species will result in callout posts and the blacklist of shame.

Toyhouse is a mixture of Tumblr and DeviantArt, take that for what you will.

Hii everyone !!

I'm the new admin of r/toyhouse !! As you may have noticed, the previous admin (u/AirDur) wasn't very active anymore, and since I really love Toyhouse, I've set myself the goal of restoring active leadership to this subreddit !

I'm Almandin, owner of the (very new) Almandin account on Toyhouse ! (Thanks to u/stellarn0va_ for the code, btw !) I enjoy writing, inventing, coding, and (sometimes) drawing...

I don't sell anything or buy anything, but I will gladly draw something for one if they ask me to, or help with coding...
(Yes, you read well, I draw for free !! But right now, I am a bit busy, so it'll start later on.)

I don't have Toyhouse Premium, so I won't publish codes, sorry...

Anyway, I won't abandon this subreddit, no matter what. HOWEVER, since it's a lot of work (and considering I'm already a moderator on another subreddit), I won't be able to participate every day or be everywhere at once. That's why I'm counting on your understanding and goodwill. If you notice I don't respond immediately to a message or report, don't worry, just wait a little while !!

I’m handling moderation alone and I want to keep this a stress-free environment for everyone (pretty much myself tbh). It would be amazing if you could avoid spamming or insisting too much in modmails, as it actually makes everything harder for me... Also, even though I don't like having to use such measures, please keep in mind that any behavior directly violating the rules will result in a ban from the community.
