what is this 90 called and how interchangeable are they

Post image

i recently purchased a very well maintained gray market tractor.

it already has the hydraulics and a plow installed, but it lacks a mower. problem is that it has the dreaded CCW PTO.

now ive been exploring different options to rectify that issue. reversers seem to be quite expensive and rare, woods reverse mowers are also very rare, and simply installing left hand blades is just risking the spindle nuts coming off during use.

so far the simplest idea i have is to find a 90 degree gearbox like these but instead operate in reverse or have a passthrough shaft that i could flip around. but the main issue with this is that i dont know if whatever brand mower deck would work with whatever 90 i manage to find.

i also lack the nomenclature to do a proper search.

if any of yall have any ideas....

One tiny seal goes out and whole tractor is down till I can get it replaced. Unknown loader on a 3930. Also, what the heck do I do with the wire that comes in the kit?

So a customer told me I would be doing him a favor if I got rid of this old trailer for him.

I spent the next 2 weeks after work giving it " a bit of a tidy up ".

I had an old set of 3 point linkage forks lying around and thought a tipping carry tray could be handy. Turns out it's great for moving all sorts of stuff. Just back up to what ever, roll it on, and carry it away to dump it

IH 764 cutting out under load

Sometimes it’ll run for an hour, and then randomly cut out underload with the PTO running a brush hog.
Other times it will not run past idle before cutting out.

Think it’s a fuel delivery issue, and my best guess is that the fuel tanks are clogged at their base. To confirm this should the fuel in the video be dripping or running faster out of the bottom of the fuel tank then the video is showing.

Yugoslav-produced Fergie in march, 1959

Post image
Upvotes

Source: "Borba" newspaper, dated March 21st, 1959. The top text says "Spring Sowing has Begun". Bottom text says: "Spring sowing works have begun in Vojvodina. Spring crops and sugar beet have already been planted. In the photo: Harrowing the soil after sowing spring crops on the land of the Srbobran collective farm" What's interesting about Yugoslav-built Fergies is the headlights are placed on designated holders, unlike the original ones with them mounted directly on the bonnet. That's a feature inherited on the MF35/ITM 533 and MF65/ITM 551 also built in Belgrade.

How to ensure the gear is engaged on an old tractor?

I have Ford 3000 and I had an incident where I was going down a slope and thought I'm on Gear 1, Low but I wasn't. the gear wasn't really engaged.

Is there any gadget or a kit to install? if it was a flat surface, I would definitely be able to know if the gear was engaged or not.

I will never use the tractor on slopes anymore until I figure this out.

Thanks

I posted in here about a month ago with a picture asking yall what tractor I had found, and you all responded saying either a 7020 or 7520. And I appreciate your help identifying it. I found a little out about it, apparently it’s been parked there for north of 10+ years. As for the owner I still haven’t been able to track them down or at least get in contact with someone who knows them.
In the meantime, I did manage to come by during another sunset and snag some pics, which I wall share below.

Identifying tractor and mystery part

I lost my original pictures but I have posted about this tractor before.

https://www.reddit.com/r/tractors/s/kVQczvlJMQ

My wife inherited this tractor from her grandpa and I’m just now getting around to fixing it up. I am trying to identify it so I can read up on it. I have attached what I believe to be the serial number. I believe it reads:

B (Star) 387165 (Star)

The issue is, the number I believe to be a 3 isn’t clear and I believe that’s the important number for identification. I have researched this number and I believe it indicates the tractor is a Ford 3000 but I am finding conflicting reports online.

Also, I have attached photos of something that is mounted on the dash to the left of the steering wheel. I have shown the pictures to several farmers and they have no clue what it is. Any help would be appreciated.

Snapper Fluid Help

I have a Snapper HYT18 and I am unsure about what fluid to put in the rear end. It's an Eaton 850 and the manual calls for 20w non detergent oil, but I am only seeing bearing oil and other expensive options. Are there alternative fluids I can use?

Farmall Cub Spotted!

I was going to the Dr. yesterday and drove by a guy hauling a Farmall Cub. Oh man I want one bad. His looked like it was a show model as the paint and all was shiny and the alternator was nice and clean as if it were just replaced. If only I were rich......

Counter Weight doesnt fit on Quick hitch....

800lbs rear ballast doesnt fit my quick hitch. Interference between the block and the gusset. Chisel down the block? Or return it and get something smaller?

Thought I'd just run it with the quick hitch but I already pinned the bushing adapters and now learning they're not designed to come out....

Ford 575D - Help identifying missing bolt

Thumbnail

Hey all,

I was hoping to get some help identifying a missing bolt on a Ford 575D backhoe.

The bolt is located down low on the passenger side of the rig. The corresponding bolt that is still in place on the driver side is stamped G 12.9 and takes a 1.5-inch socket/head.

I took some pictures of the side with it missing and the side with it still in place.

Any help you all could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Snow removal with loader.

Post image

I made a topic last week about this and got a lot of useful information. I want to be able to scrape the snow off my asphalt driveway with my loader. The “edge tamers” leave 1/4-1/2” behind. I was going to mount some UHMW for a cutting edge. I saw this edge on YouTube. I sent the YouTuber a message. Has anyone here seen this type of bolt on cutting edge?

I am hoping to grow barley on my little slice of heaven so I found and picked up this 12a. It's going to be a huge project but finding one where I live has been a challenge to begin with so at least this gives me a starting point. Worst case is I get a new piece of driveway art!

Anyone have any belts (canvas and drive) they want to sell? Or manuals or other parts? Or a restored one?
