Hi everyone - longtime fan of trance and dance music in general. I'm relatively new to Reddit and have been trying to get more involved here. I used to post a ton on TranceAddict back in the early 2000s, and I'm always down to discuss tracks, DJs, mixes, old favorites, new discoveries, etc.

I'm also a bedroom DJ. Back in 2009 I started a podcast called Aural Pleasures as a way to make mixes, practice DJing, and share music with friends. That expanded in 2010 to a radio show on Afterhours.fm with the same name. I've kept Aural Pleasures going ever since, and 17 years later I'm now up to episode 309.

My first love has always been trance, although I dabble in progressive trance, progressive house, techno, tech trance, house, etc. depending on the mix.

I just released Aural Pleasures 309 (End Of Summer 2026 Mix) and figured I'd share this one here. This episode is firmly on the trance side of things and mixes some classics and personal favorites with newer tracks, remixes and a couple of unreleased edits. There's everything from Conjure One, Airscape, Solarstone, Oakenfold and some classic Tiësto-era material to newer FSOE, Coldharbour, Armada and Perfecto releases.

I'd genuinely love to hear what you guys think - whether it's the track selection, programming, transitions, or just tracks that bring back memories. Sharing and discussing music with other people is a big part of why I've kept doing this for 17 years.

So in Spain we have this thing where when you turn 18 they give you money to spend on culture, but you can only spend it in very few stores that are associated with this program. I want to get an ASOT CD but I am limited to these options:

ASOT 1000 Celebration Mix, ASOT 2021, ASOT Ibiza 2023, ASOT Year Mix 2024 and ASOT 2024 (Yeah sadly I can't get the older ones).

I listened to a bit of all of them and it's very hard to compare them. ASOT 1000 is my favourite of these but I can still get another one and I can't choose. There's also the Forever one but I'm not as convinced with it and it is very short, and there is also the 2022 Year Mix but in casette format.

Which one would you pick?

I know it's up to what I like but if one is generally considered the best one I guess it will have the most interesting songs. Keep in mind that I don't know all of them.

I’d like to share the latest in the Liquid State mix series here as I think it offers quite an interesting and cool take on modern trance, it’s definitely more underground than we would usually see here, a bit acid/percussive focused, more on the progressive side of things.
