Racing
I'm curious about racing and wanted to play for a while, but I'm wondering if it's worth trying?
My ping is fairly high (300-400), will it largely affect my ability to get firsts? Thanks

Yes, it will. I have ~300 ping as well and I play racing because the maps are fun, but I rarely get firsts. If you don't mind that, it can still be enjoyable.

It will affect
Pay noping, exitlag or something like that it can improve your ping
And i dont recommend playing racing a lot of macros/hackers

Are there hackers? I have suspected that. I mean the usual firsts who are really fast on chocolate etc
I would hate the competition being ruined by cheating, because it's really fun and challenging to advance skills and compete fairly esp. in maps with wood

Yeah a lot of hackers
But here in brazil we have a lot of "pros" so is 3x harder
These guys are playing every day for 6 years+

If your high ping is caused by an inefficient route taken by your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you could try tools to optimize your route, like ExitLag. Even if it can't beat the physical distance, it could help with a stable connection 🙂
You could try the 3-day free trial to see if it helps in Transformice!

Even with low ping, it's extremely hardddddd to get firsts. I dont know what these pro Brazilian kids have eaten, seriously. I have suspected cheats sometimes but apparently it's not the case. They probably use space key for jumping though (i tried but my performance didnt advance), i guess its their 1000 hours of practice after school or something
My walljump is neat if i pick up the rhythm, but in chocojump i'm always slower than firsts and thats what has made me suspect cheats but apparently not the case
