Stoner Thoughts [6]

I never post here.
Lurked for years.

I was smoking a joint tonight,
Getting into a state of flow.

I have aggressive ADHD and so “flow” is a rare and dopaminergic state.

Started talking to myself conversationally — rather than just thinking mentally — about a would your rather scene from Workaholics after seeing a clip on TikTok.

When I smoke a *lot* or smoke and drink, I’m cleaning my house slowly without direction while just vibing to whatever.

So when i started really exploring the thought experiment, while amidst in my engagements, i had to re light this one joint many times over almost 50 minutes.

And the last time I went to relight it after mentally coming up from a tangent, I realized I had no idea where I set it down, last.

I looked at every counter top (as I briefly will let a lit joint hang over such) around my kitchen, bathrooms, the “countertops” would-be’s of dressers and tables and nightstands and chairs.

As aforementioned, I like to indulge in my ADHD in cleaning nights like this, while high, so I can’t backtrack my steps. I’ve been in every room and around every space of my house without any direction.

Couldn’t find it.

Very sad. Oh well. I know i’ll find it *eventually* when sober and it will probably be too yucky and stale to save

But must acknowledge my clumsy ways and move on.

So, after checking the same 43 spots a dozen times, I gave up, grabbed my phone and went to go take a shit and doomscroll.

As I sat my ass on the throne, I see the joint laying gently on top of clean dry trash in my bathroom trashcan. Like it was staged.

I needed to share this with someone. So cheers to the person who suggested we bring back [high-level] in posts. This pointless story goes out to you.

My [6] is now an [8]

As a fellow ADHDer this same shit happens to me so often it's not even funny.

Somehow managed to "lose" my computer mouse(??) a week or two ago and despite cleaning my room still haven't found it.

Just recently "lost" my good hairbrush until I found it on a random chair. I guess something like a jacket or clothing was covering it? Don't even remember.

It's so tiring honestly.

I call it the ADHD Dimensional Shift because how does something that was literally in my hand two minutes ago disappear suddenly from the face of the Earth? My apartment is tiny, it shouldn't be possible to lose anything that thoroughly, and yet....

That's a great name for it, I'm gonna start using that from now on.

Losing shit while high is the worst. One evening I went to throw my finished roach in the bin down the road from my place, and when I got up the next morning my lighter was missing. It's a Big Lez Show one with a picture of Sassy the Sasquatch on it, so I was pretty gutted. Turned the house almost upside down. Ended up retracing my steps and my high ass had accidentally thrown my lighter in the bin with the roach. Luckily nobody was there to see me lifting the plastic cover off the bin to grab my shit back! [0]
