Music Commentary Content Opportunity
Hey everyone!
Just wanted to post a little job listing/opportunity here.
I run a small creative agency making music videos, socials and promo content for independent/underground electronic artists across Australia.
We are currently looking for someone to do part-time voiceover work for our branded social media content going forward on an ongoing basis, paid per video ($20-30/video). The recordings are for platforms like instagram and tiktok, so are only 1-2 minutes length maximum. We will require roughly 1-2 recordings per week - so all in all, no more than 20-30 mins of work per week.
Not after a professional voice actor, just someone with a nice, chatty, conversational voice who's genuinely into music and keen to be part of it. (Think of it almost like a triple J radio host role). The content you'll be recording will mostly be breakdowns and informative, conversational, radio-style discussions — talking through things like music branding, marketing, and how artists connect with their audiences - specifically in the electronic/dj industry.
USB microphone/recording equipment is preferred but not essential.
If that sounds like you (or you know someone who'd be perfect), flick me a DM on instagram @ lachiepaterson — would love to hear from you!

One Night Stand Griffith tickets
i've just noticed that ONS Griffith tickets are still for sale. what are people doing? They've put on the perfect party for us with Genny Wu, Ninajirachi, beddy Rays, DMAs are you kidding me, i havent seen a stacked lineup like this for yonks.
I think the accomodation in Griffith was sold out early and thats why people are hesistant to buy the remaining tickets. I just got to say this though, just go, just go and sleep in your car it'll be worth it. go stay in wagga and get the bus even, itll be worth it. or just camp out in Griffith for the night, it'll be fine. The best part of these one night stands is just a wave of people descending on this small town and making it come alive for the weekend. if you don't have someone to go with, just go, itll be an epic drive and adventure, and youll meet friends there that youll never see again but itll be worth.
These one night stand events are always so special and unique.

Good Things 2026 timetable mockup
Reckon I should call the organisers and tell them not to stress about the timetable, because I've clocked it.
Not 100% sure about the stage 5 order tbh - but in general I'd be pleased with something like this. Thoughts?
Just for fun/boredom

Ben was great on drive.
Jordan and Luka are good, but I think Ben fit better for the timeslot. His conversation flowed so well and he was always laughing. It was generally a breath of fresh air so hear someone so ready to laugh. Just needed to put this out there in the hope i hear more of him.

Is the rotation seriously good at the moment?
Ok, I don’t know about anyone else, but for the last 6ish years, whilst I’ve been an avid supporter of triple j, things have felt (for the most part) dull, a little mediocre, generic, blerhhh. We’d have a couple of standout songs for the year, but that’s it.
Of recent times I’ve noticed a shakeup in the music artists seem to be producing - with many, many different sounds happening rather than everyone emulating the same generic trends.
It really feels like a vast spectrum of genuinely good music at the moment. I don’t think triple j has felt like this for me since pre-2020.
maybe we’ve FINALLY come out of the other side of Covid? New technological tools enhancing creativity? Depressed yet inspired artists? What’s going on here?
Also open to this just being my own observation but interested in what others think.
