Question Tracking apps

I got a positive ovulation today a week after predicted in my app by the time I got my period. Does that mean my period should be expected later?

Yes. Because they're hormonally related if ovulation occurs later so will the next menstruation

It’s the first time this time. When I had my youngest 8 years ago I tracked and I think he just took 2 months that I got pregnant. My others I tracked are 12 and 11 now. They took 4 months and I week. lol didn’t track with my oldest.
So I’m not new to tracking or ttc but it’s been 8 years. I have a good feeling about this. I would love to have it be like my 3rd! Stressful af but I don’t mean to be insensitive since I know a lot of people have a harder time. But I’m in my 40’s now so who knows.

My app took about 3 months to learn me quite well. It was whatever app you can upload easy @ home tests LH on. I got pregnant with my second using an app!

Luteal phase length tends to be more consistent than follicular phase - so if ovulation is later then you period likely will be as well.

Yes! If you truly ovulate about a week later than your app predicted, your period will most likely come later too. Your period generally comes about 12–14 days after ovulation. Apps are only estimating ovulation based on previous cycles your positive LH test is more useful for identifying your fertile window.

Apps are working from previous cycle patterns, so a positive OPK later than predicted can mean your body simply ovulates later this cycle. If you want another way to confirm the timing rather than relying on the app, you could look into BBT tracking, and a wearable option like tempdrop can make that easier overnight.
