Pattern thoughts
Trying to get a second opinion. I’m working on pattering my new turkey gun and was wondering what everyone thought about this pattern? Should I move my red dot to the right?
I am shooting a 12 gauge Stoeger M3000 with a Vortex Viper red dot
Winchester longboard xr #5 3in
20 yards

Maybe a click right but shoot at 40 yards and see what it does first.

Also, forgot to include, I have the stock Turkey Choke that came with the Stoeger

What size choke is this? I went down the 12ga rabbit hole this year

It’s the factory choke that came with the gun, the Stoeger extra full turkey

Replace that choke!! I have the same gun and choke. There are a lot of reports of that choke getting seized up in the barrel. Not sure on the why, exactly... hut I would definitely get a different choke. I got the patternmaster code black in mine now, it patterns great!!

Thank you so much for that info! That would suck having that choke seize up. I’ll check out that patternmaster!

Yea where I hunt, the turkeys are pretty used to people so nothing past 30 yards I’d say. I’ll try it at further distances and see what it does. Thank you!

Looks tight at 20 but what does it look like at 40?
