General Napping spots

Hey I commute to college and I don’t drive myself so I can’t go nap in a car, so does anyone have any nap spot recommendations on campus? I would like to nap between my classes.
Don’t really explore campus at all so I dunno any good spots myself

By the Starbucks on memory mall, the raised palm tree areas are used commonly for hammock set ups. Great place to take a nap if the weathers not too hot outside. Shady and breezy!

As someone who has a hammock and occasionally sets up there, it’s stupid hot even in the shade most days. Between 9:30/10 to 7pm you’re gonna be sweating even under a tree’s shadow.

July and August suck, it’s hotter then hell but by second half of September to October it’s more comfortable to be out. I guess some people just run hot, humidity can be annoying though with all the showers September gets.

Precisely!! I get super hot when temp is above 75, my home has to be 70, 69 sometimes.

Thank you for this feedback, after walking across campus multiple times in 1 class day, with almost every day on campus, i need that AC break and I may not be OP but this was my question as well

Well there’s always shade, it’s covered in palm trees. If it’s too hot then that’s up to the person. If you don’t know how to set up a hammock that’s on you. It takes 2 minutes.

Dude I wasn’t coming at you, as someone who commutes 2 hours for class I personally want to just plop down somewhere with AC, plus it isn’t always breezy just cause there’s shade from the trees, and there isn’t always ample shade for comfort either. Idk why you took my comment personally enough to downvote like it was a bad comment

Also whenever I’ve walked past there, it’s always occupied so your single response (at the time) for the hammock location is kinda a nothing burger that likely didn’t satisfy what OP was asking.

Well when OP replies he can state his opinion, I was answering his question not looking for your negative opinion. There’s plenty of buildings with seating locations in ac you can plop, and if you know them then comment them for OP. I don’t waste my gas for 2 hour commutes bc we have the option for online modem for most classes, and I can nap at home.

The 4th and 5th floors of the library have these silent zones with private desk slots, window nooks, and corner seats, it’s been a while since I’ve used them, you may or may not have to go to the front desk and reserve for an hour the larger ones.

At least last semester there wasn’t. I gave up on studying there. Now I just sit on the backseat of my car with my hotspot on studying 🫠🫠

Edit: but that kind of started like a year(?) maybe a year and a half ago. Before that I used to go there

I’m not sure about summer but there was 100% a silent zone during spring. I’ll check
the library tomorrow to find out.

Like 4th floor? Every time I went people were talking like the world was gonna end and they had to have all their gossip up to date

Last spring and fall semesters at least, there’s been a silent zone in the back/center of the 4th floor of the library. I can’t stand being outside of there or the 5th floor, people usually respect the rules in there aside from the occasional chick fil a eater.

it’s gonna start cooling down in a couple months, i really recommend the arboretum. it’s a nice walk in nature away from everything, there’s usually no one there. i’ve taken naps on the ground, on a destroyed bench in the trails, on a picnic table, etc.

I don’t remember if it’s the 2nd or third floor of CB2. Also, there’s small little areas in CB1, you can nap there. L3Harris is also a good place to nap. Um… that’s all I can think of.

Second floor of Millican overlooking the fountain. There’s a row of recliners including 2 that are tucked into corners.
