It's absolutely insane that they still haven't reached a verdict on this case when this is the clearest case of first degree murder. It boggles my mind that there are people defending this child murderer just because she's a woman, she's literally the female version of Chris Benoit.
Even worse, she’s capable of contentment after her actions. Benoit took his own life because he wouldn’t have been able to live with what he did to his family.
I think that there is a resonable arguement that Benoit could have argued insanity due to brain damage and been confined to psychiatric care rather than prison.
What is absolutely insane is your bad faith take on this case. I haven't seen a single woman suggest Lindsay Clancy walk free rather she be sentenced like a mentally ill person and go to a mental institution when it seems rather plausible she did this because of post partum psychosis.
theres a shocking amount of women online who legitimately believe her husband did it and she was framed by him. Theres also a shocking amount of women who act like she’s a relatable person and they can understand how she did what she did. its very concerning
Have you seen the thousands of brain dead women marching in pink while saying "me too Lindsay" and symlathizing with her? It's also hilarious how her psychosis can just magically disappear after she murderdered her three kids in cold blood.
No I haven't actually. You have a video showing "thousands" of women saying Lindsay Clancy should be a free woman? If so post it right here.
I have yet to single woman saying Clancy should be free. The "controversy" to red pill idiots is about how her sentencing should be carried out apparently.
If a licensed clinical psychologist says she needs acute care cool, send her to psych ward until cleared to be moved back to prison like every other mentally ill criminal in the justice system. This is a nothing burger.
Real shit, and it's not just Americans a lot of Canadians up here are also absolutely brain dead when it comes to cases like this. I truly feel like social media made our species dumber.
Well, if you actually look at the facts and stop trying to turn this into a gender war issue, you'd realize why it's complicated. In MA (unlike federal court and majority of states), once a claim of "lack of criminal responsibility" (due to mental illness and/or capacity to understand) is raised, the legal burden shifts to the prosecution to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant was legally sane.
This comes down to the concept of mens rea, the "guilty mind", where in order to be convicted of committing a crime, the defendant must have a guilty mind or criminal intent.
If severe mental illness deprived her of the ability to know right from wrong or made the illegal action involuntary, she legally lacked the mens rea required for murder, and because the state bears the highest possible burden to prove otherwise, reaching a verdict is waaaay more complex then you are implying.
when this is the clearest case of first degree murder.
It's almost like people who have access to more information and professional experience with this have better judgement than a guy on a forum for people hitting each other in the head.
