Is it possible to go from building B to K in 10 minutes?
I'm going into my first year and it's making me a little nervous! it should be fine, right?

The website for it shows that its able to be used at both BcTransit busses and Rec Centers. Do I just show the QR code along with my student ID, or do I have to do something else?

Haven't seen much of them, so I want to know if they're even worth it for this class... I am not really familiar with ADED courses either since I am a bio major but i need a non-bio upper-level course of some kind and this would fit the bill, but I'd rather not be with a prof that sucks at teaching of course lol.

I’m putting this out there to see what everyone’s experience is like with Felicia.
Her rate my professor ratings are either really positive or negative, with her most recent ratings being negative, however I’ve heard from word of mouth that she’s a decent professor despite giving out harder material for the same course ran by other professors.
I took BUS 249 with Raymond, arguably one of the worst rated professors at UFV, and taught myself all the content from the textbook and earned an A. His tests were fairly straightforward, and I’m wondering if I’ll have to do something similar with Felicia.
Thanks.

For those who have received plar for the bachelor of integrated arts program, how did you find the process? Were you able to get much credit? Was it an unduly labour intensive process? Just trying to manage expectations if I decide to go down that road.

Has anyone taken BUS 444 Advanced Managerial Accounting (or anything else) with Susan Bubra? I’m currently enrolled in her class and saw some pretty concerning reviews on Rate My Prof, so I’m debating whether I should drop while I still can.
For anyone who has actually taken her, what was the class like? How are her lectures, exams, grading, workload, and overall teaching style? Is she actually as bad as the reviews make her seem, or are the reviews exaggerated? Would really appreciate any honest experiences before I make a decision.

Thought I would come here looking for answers since the last time I asked this I didn’t get any responses. I’m going into agriculture for the upcoming fall semester and I’m gonna be taking a class with professor bodnar. I didn’t see any reviews on rate my professor so I’m just wondering if anyone has personally taken any of his classes and if so how is he as a professor, how does he grade, is he strict, etc. anytbing along those lines. If anyone has any insight to share it would be greatly appreciated, thanks! :)

I am 10th on the waitlist for one of my preferred courses.
I am planning to email the professor soon. But I don't know what I should include in the email other than mentioning that I am interested in the course. I also don't know if there is anything else I should do.

Hi, one of my courses that is on campus is showing “unknown location” for the classroom and I am wondering if it is normal or should I email the instructor?

Alrighty, I completed a couple of online courses over summer. I expected to have to come in to do exams and have that as a little icebreaker of sorts.... that didn't work out and both exams turned out to be online. I have registered for some hybrid classes starting in September and the anxiety is now keeping me awake.
Unfortunately, I really struggle with new places and new routines. Truthfully, i would probably be fine if I could make myself invisible, though i am lacking in those skills. Obviously, It isn't practical to get a detailed, "here is where you park, walk this direction and go here. Then do this and if this happens, do this", etc. So instead, im simply asking what I should expect overall and any general advice. How annoying is parking and how likely is it to get parking in the lot you're aiming for? How on earth do people find their way around?! I've studied the floor plans and one just looks way to much like a maze.
Any and all tips or tricks are super appreciated.

I took a normal schedule (not fast tracked) stats course over summer, wrote exam August 5th, grade deadline was August 18th, and no grades posted yet. Fail rate is high, and I’m sure I passed, but I want to see my grade lol. Do I just need to wait, or is there somewhere I should reach out to?

Hello!
I am heading into my last year of highschool, and I am looking to go into UFV next year.
I want to go into Bachelors of English and then Education (I want to become a highschool teacher).
How are the acceptance rates at UFV? Do I have to be worried about getting in?
I am pretty good at social studies- I finished with high 90s for BC first people and an 85 for English 11. But I didn't do well in my sciences and maths- I passed them but not well.
Thank you :)

Has anyone taken IPK 102 with Deborah Alexander or Indigenous Canadian Writing with Nicola Campbell?
My semester is already pretty heavy so I want to know how hard each class is and how many assignments/ readings you get.

I’m in my 4th year of psychology and still need to take a language. I really wanted to take ASL to fulfill that requirement, but unfortunately it’s not offered at UFV 😩. I am currently registered in JAPN 101 for the fall. I only speak English and I know about 20 words in Japanese that I learned as a kid. How intense is the course? I’ve put off taking a language this long because I’ve always assumed language classes are very difficult. I’m also afraid that the students in classes like French already know a lot and are taking the class for an easy A. I’m not sure if that would be the case, but it’s something that’s been on my mind.

Are there any restrictions for electives for a bach of sci? I'm currently waitlisted on my fourth course and I've unsuccessfully searched UFV website for any information on this.
BTW is 6 a good waitlist position?

It looks like Brenna is going to be the biochem prof this semester. Just want to know if she's a good prof despite her rate my prof reviews?

Hey ,
Mods gave me permission to share this here.
I'm based nearby in Mission and spent nearly seven years at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Technical Account Manager and Solutions Architect, working with enterprise customers across telecom, banking, government and other industries.
I recently left AWS to build Mission FinOps, and I'm putting together a small free training cohort for people interested in AWS, cloud cost investigation, FinOps, data analysis, and some of the AI tooling being built around this space.
No previous AWS or FinOps experience required.
The program is around 4 weeks, roughly 5 hours per week, with live remote sessions and recordings.
This is training, not an unpaid internship. You'll work through exercises, sample cloud billing data, investigation problems, and open-source tooling. You will not be doing customer work as part of the training.
There's no obligation afterward either. If someone turns out to be a great fit for Mission FinOps and I have work available later, that would be a separate paid conversation.
Some of what I build is already public:

Happy to answer questions.
