Harvested Results First time, please help.

Post image

Hi hi! This is my first "flush". I used LC with an all-in-one grow bag but I struggled through every step. It took way longer than it was supposed to before mycelium, then I seemed to have let the substrate dry out, and now that I have harvested those with broken veils, they look almost blue inside. Is this normal? Should I throw them out? I'm ready to throw the rest of it away and not try again for a few years. I have anxiety on a good day, let alone trying to grow and not die! Ha Thank you all for any help you'll give.

Edit: thank you all so much for your encouragement. Just new at this and honestly not sure if this is going to be a good thing or a bad thing. We’ll see. Send a vibe up that this helps me get over and heal from a few things. Love you all!!

Blue is the good stuff

The blueing is from the oxidation of psilocin. It’s completely natural and a sign that your mushrooms produced high concentrations of psilocybin and psilocin. Enjoy :)

There is nothing wrong with them, there is no reason to worry about everything so much, you can do this.

Thank you. As a 100% new person looking to overcome some significant trauma, what's a good dose? Generic intention going into it? haha

1-2 grams is light and happy. You start to actually trip around 2-3.5g. If you’re doing it for the purpose of healing I believe the actual tripping part is the part that does the healing. If it’s your first time don’t go over 4 grams. Depends on the strain though I’d look how potent your strain is compared to average and adjust accordingly. Yours look pretty blue I’m assuming they’re thumpers😂

If you’re a newcomer they want you to like them, they’ll be nice to you. Come up anxiety is very real though just accept the discomfort and it’ll pass. If you try to fight it it makes everything worse

Intentions for my first trip was just testing the waters and seeing how it all was. I took a nice walk alone in the evening and let my mind wander. You can go in with intentions but just be open minded to the thoughts that come your way, and then let them go.

I have a very low tolerance personally. You should take a very small amount if you have a low tolerance to other medicinal and recreational products. Less than 1/8th of a gram dried weight.

Blue is good, blue like this is REALLY GOOD

This particular strain takes longer than most others, so a good moist layer is pivotal, remember this next time. The dark blue is the good stuff, when that parts meets oxygen it turns a dark blue. Dry them up and eat them. Also, the blue is the color of Smurfs, not a coincidence they live in mushrooms

And what strain of cube is this? I e never really noticed any take too much longer than another, outside enigma.

Had a love/scared relationship with Smurfs growing up... Coming full circle!

They look really great. You should take a few minutes to close your eyes and sit in the glow of a hard job well executed through confusion and uncertainty and recognize the fruits of your efforts! And internalize the feeling and the lessons for when future moments of anxiety come.

Thank you. Cheesy, but thanks. AI and all ;)

Zero AI, just me, another human who also has anxiety and doesn’t take wins easily

In case the OP doesn’t know, dry them in a good dehydrator with removable and stackable trays. This is the one I bought from Walmart’s website for mine and it happens to be on sale!

Bluing is the breaking down of psilocin. You're good, bruising around the cut is going to happen, but avoid excessive bruising (for obvious reasons). :)

Those look amazing, wish I could get/grow mushies that bruise this dark

1

u/gaydonkeyballs 20h ago

They are pretty thick and look good will be potent. If you are a first timer at taking them you should take less than 1/8th of one of them for your first time I would say.

u/PhantomRoyce 12h ago

You grew some sluggers,my friend.

1

u/Ok_Expression7594 8h ago

It can be a lil stressful at first but just remember you're learning something for the first time and you can always try again that you got nice fruits your first try says you did better than you think you did, to answer your question yes the blue is normal is just oxidation

u/mycomen 1d ago

What are these brown spots? It's not substrat for sure

1

u/foreverwonder 1d ago

Oh dear, wondering the same thing now! It's almost the color/texture of the caps.

1

u/dontakemeserious 1d ago

Stop worrying friend. Your fruits are totally fine, more than fine. If you don't know already, you're going to want to dehydrate and freeze them so they don't spoil.

u/edenx22 1d ago

Woah everyone here is totally missing that these mushrooms could be really harmful to OP. Send them to me so I can properly dispose of them.

Hilarious how people manage to achieve growing the things without even knowing what they're supposed to look like

u/Bignuthingg 1d ago

Weird to spend time to grow these beauties and know nothing about shrooms lol

3

u/foreverwonder 1d ago

We all start somewhere! I'm trying.

2

u/Bignuthingg 14h ago

But like have you even eaten shrooms before? The blue colouring is extremely common. Just curious what made you want to grow since it seems like you aren’t really familiar with what they even look like

2

u/foreverwonder 13h ago

Understood! I'm an anxious, rule follower IRL and I'm kinda old. Never had any psychedelics and I'm just trying to find some joy in life again. Are those good enough reasons? Haha I hit a low point and ordered a kit with the "beginner friendly" version of shrooms. As I said, I messed everything up pretty much every step so when I harvested these, I really just didn't want to die trying to take them. Even now my quick google image search does not show stems and interiors that dark! I thought for sure they were rotten and going to make me sick. Now that I'm this far into it, it'll take me a while to actually do it. This community has amazing encouragement!

1

u/Bignuthingg 8h ago

I would eat the fuck out of them. They look great. I wish I still got to experience the first time with shrooms. Enjoy!

-4

u/50kgBlockOfCheese 1d ago

How the fuck do you put in all this effort to grow active mushrooms and not know they bruise blue

6

u/foreverwonder 1d ago

Just here, trying.
