Got this giant fruit from a DubTub that I honestly neglected quite a bit besides water content. Came to it one day and BAM, huge fruit.

Thought I had some contam in my UB cake, so I broke it up outside and threw it in with my tomato plant and flowers.
Just saw this today! Should I dry them, or just leave them be?

Hey, i have three jars with cubes grain spawn (2x brf, 1x millet) looking like this, i think they are about ready to go.
The problem is I am leaving my home in two days for over a week and am worried to let other people in my household take care of a tub with spawn.
I’m a first time grower and will probably need to figure out the misting over time through watching the surface conditions
(very dry house/no growing tent combo, i’m worried even unmodified tub will need a lot of care) I don’t think the people in my house will know what to do hah

Will these be fine if i send them in about ten days instead?

Growing golden teachers and noticed these ones have hella fuzzy feet, idk why I gave them air flow and fanned them here and there. From my understanding this happens when theres not enough air flow? I know its not a big deal but was wondering how to avoid it/any tips? Thanks!

Syringe that I purchased from a reputable source was labeled / intended to be Jedi Mind Fuck but these are clearly not that nor do they (to me) seem related.

Have taken some time to fruit, colonization of the CVG was the same pace if not faster than my GTs that are growing alongside them but the teacher tub is beginning its second flush and I’m just getting some here and there on these. Moved to bulk on 7/16, fruiting conditions from day one.

I know it’s hard / impossible to identify based on just pics but the frilly initial bodies (first pic) and fairly unique (to me) fruits made me think it was worth a shot. Thanks in advance for any thoughts!

I recently finished my first ever flush for 3 cakes and got around 80 dried grams however, my second flush as not been as fruitful and was wondering how to improve my results. thanks for the help!

What is going down with our weirdies growing by the wigwam?!

Had a recent breakup/move so I relocated half of an ovoid parch I started in February or so... I've got most of it intact in a tub inside and have made shoeboxes of its "spawn" for beds outside. I went over last night to dig some plants if like to keep and go look at the couple beds I scrounged and fed chips from a recently felled oak. To my surprise there was a mangled ovoid under cardboard!!

It's been hot af here, tomorrows 92\* hasn't been under high 80's day temps since....May, maybe? I gathered more of the patch in a bucket, leaving a substantially thick hunk of the bed left. I get home to divvy out some of the colonized chips to some shoe boxes and find another fruit in the mess! Been observing this species for a while now and they never cease to amaze me with their tenacity. Maybe some hot fruting Bois could be the future? There was a heaping amount of the organism left the first time to be stress, I feel. Then again I'm not an ovoid_

A.P.E. First time grower. Is now a good time to break and shake the ones on the right that have grown down the jar? The far left one is doing its own thing with multiple spore colonization spots on its own for some reason (probably from injection) so I know that’s still probably a week off.

Title. Am I good to start FAE with these bad boys? B+ in a 6 qt monotub and looks like a good amount of mycelium growth.

Although I’ve used a SAB I typically still have contam issues when I use my automated fan/humidifier so I’m going full unopening box. ( typically bread mold I’ve removed and still have success with b+ & gt)

Curious on timing for APE- I combined grain to substrate 16 days ago. It was 100% white on day 8, it’s been another 8 days. I see what I believe are hyphal knots but no pins yet. Plenty of droplets on lid and tiny ones on surface. Conditions look good, sitting around 75/76 degree. This time no humidifier inside as I wanted to keep fully enclosed, it’s a north spore box so has filters around, I decided to not go with casing layer to avoid opening again.

Days till APE pins you think? Should I just add a casing layer at this stage??

So today I saw my first hyphal knotting and blobby pins. And a lot of weirdly shapped things on all the walls, the thing im worried about is that I only see a bit of pins on the cake and my fear is that it is too wet, has too many water drops and because of that wont produce more pins as it is drowning in water. Hello again. I’ve recently moved my last 3 healthy rice bags into my S2B container. One tub was made almost a week ago, another about 4 days. I’ve used bleach sanitised IKEA sealable tubs, pasteurised coco coir, and my 3 bags. One bag was 100% colonised and placed in its own smaller tub, with the other two being 80% ish (with all non solid mycelium and rice being removed) getting the larger 4 litre tub. These are the last of my bags, and all I have is an already fucked and fermenting (and probable contam) jar in the fridge to try and squeeze some fruits from, and a small plastic bag of the extra rice + myc that seems to be colonising well.

The issue with the big tubs is I accidentally left them sealed, which of course was stupid and caused them to build up CO2 then begin fermenting causing a pretty potent alcohol smell. I’ve of course opened the boxes to some FAE and praying they can bounce back.
Inside, all the substrate looks fine with no signs of contamination but also very little myc growth compared to my spare bag.

Guys what’s the advice? Ride it out and pray? Is there anything else to be done to help it out other than leaving it alone. I’m short on time so of course re-inoculating is off the table, I just want some fruiting already. I do have hydrogen peroxide and ISO to hand if that helps.

Checking out the pins on my second flush after soaking the cake. Everything has a white fluffy layer, and there are a few little guys popping up. I’m noticing a slight yellow haze on some of the white fluffy layer. Is it cooked?
