Hi all,
So it looks like every uni subreddit has been a bit weird recently (the top post on r/usyd right now is something related to femboys).
This is just a PSA to keep things UNSW-related. There was a meme on the front page a day or two ago that was literally just clash of clans, that sort of stuff we're going to remove from now on. Check out the subreddit rules on the wiki for more info.
Also, a reminder that discriminatory/ derogatory posts are never allowed. Same goes for harassment/those creepy posts from people looking to hook up that have popped up recently. Anyone posting this kind of content will be banned without warning. Please report these kinds of posts if you see them so we can remove them as soon as possible.
Enjoy flexi-week,
the r/UNSW mod team

I think we can check the WAM by inspecting the /getauditinfo URL in the browser. Hope this helps anyone who’s stressing out about their score. Just a reminder that it’s not official, so you’ll still have to wait until Thursday.
Steps:
Hope this help :).
Edit: Oops, I see the similar instruction on the other post, anw hope it can help people who missed.
Edit2: the semester wam is not correct since it shows the previous term grade instead. Only look at the cwam then use it to calculate this term wam based on your previous wam.

A couple of days ago at around 8pm, a stranger came up to me and punched me in the face without saying anything, causing me to lose balance and fall onto the road. I'm an intl student, I'm still pretty new to aus, it's my first time experiencing smth like this, as well as my first time giving a statement to the police here. l've already submitted my GP report and police report to Victim Support for a recognition payment and counseling. Has anyone experienced this before?

I thought WAM didn't matter, so I am not even looking forward to it, so even after the myplan hack was exposed, I am not bothered to look at it.
I have 0 internships / work experience in my industry / avg extracurriculars (one case comp to semi-final, volunteering role but no society) btw, does it matter then? Thanks.
(btw my wam will be sitting around 82~83 depending on the result this term in my penultimate yr)

So i'm enrolled in the course but it won't let me register for class sayibg prereq not met. T2 has the pre req course. Does it subtly mean I failed the prereq or I should just wait for the results.

go to myplan main page, do not go to see progress. open chrome dev tool, for windows ctrl + shift + i. go to consoles and run:
const inj = angular.element(document).injector();
const shared = inj.get("SharedSrvc");
shared.hideCGPAStudentProfile = false;
console.log("CWAM hide flag:", shared.hideCGPAStudentProfile);
it should respond with:
CWAM hide flag: false
then run:
const ff = inj.get("FeatureFlagSrvc");
console.log(
"studentProfile-gpa:",
ff.getFeatureBehavior("studentProfile-gpa")
);
console.log(
"all-gpa:",
ff.getFeatureBehavior("all-gpa")
);
then run:
const printer = inj.get("PrinterSrvc");
console.log("Printer service loaded:", !!printer);
after that go to see progress and print report as you would normally. it should show CWAM.

Hi, for one of my courses, the grading option was changed to ADM on myplan. Does anyone know what it means?

Hey, taking COMM1150 next term and was wondering if anyone has tutor recommendations based on past experience.
Mainly looking for tutors who explain the assessments really clearly, give great mark, and are generally helpful when it comes to understanding what’s expected for a HD. Obviously happy to put in the work, just want to choose a tutor who actually makes the course/marking criteria easier to navigate.
If you’ve taken 1150 before, who did you have and would you recommend them? Any tutors you’d particularly try to get (or avoid)?
Thanks!
Feels like everyone I know has a really high WAM, while mine is sitting at a CR. I know it’s only first year, but people keep saying it gets harder and your WAM usually drops later on.
I wouldn’t say I studied super hard, but I definitely did put effort in.

Hey guys, I’m taking COMM1150, COMM1190 and COMP1511 on T3 2026 and was wondering if anyone who’s done these courses has any tips.
For COMP1511, I’m thinking of learning some of the content beforehand since I don’t have much programming experience. Are there any good external resources (YouTube, websites, courses, etc.) that follow the COMP1511 content pretty closely? Also, what topics would you recommend learning before the term starts?
For COMM1150 and COMM1190, does anyone have tutor recommendations? Ideally someone who explains things clearly, gives useful feedback, and is fair with marking. I’m aiming for an HD, so would especially appreciate recommendations from people who had a good experience and felt their tutor actually helped them understand what was expected in the assessments.
Also happy to hear any general tips for getting an HD in these courses, especially things you wish you knew before starting.
Thanks!
When i checked myplan, the requirement gpa (i.e. that for last term) was higher than my cumulative WAM on my transcript. Which should i use to predict my individual marks for this term?

I was sick with COVID and unfortunately couldn't sit the COMP3142 final exam, so I have to sit the supplementary 😭 I'm honestly really scared because I only have 5 days to prepare, and I heard the supplementary won't be scaled. For anyone who sat the final, how was the exam? Was it actually difficult compared to the assignments? Were the questions mostly straightforward or were there a lot of tricky/application-based questions? I also saw a few people say there was no coding section which confused me a bit, because the announcement said there would be Python coding, so if anyone can confirm that would help heaps. If anyone could please give me some last-minute advice on what I should prioritise/revise in these 5 days, I'd really appreciate it. Even just telling me the topics that were heavily tested or the type of questions I should practise would help a lot. I'm really stressed because I missed the final and was sick for long time with covid basically have to prepare from scratch. Any tips from people who already sat it would be seriously appreciated 🙏
