It's such a shame that car combat as a genre seems to be effectively dead, I played the shit out of that, Vigilante 8, and TM:Black back in the day.

Jak X combat racing was my go-to for years. No other game has felt similar and I would buy a remake tomorrow if it dropped.

I played so. Much. Of that game. It's a shame that Ratchet and Clank is the only one of those PS2-era mascot platformers that even sorta survived.

I LOVED vigilante 8. Such weird games but they were so cool. 2nd offense was my shit. That giant ant stage was crazy lol.

I found my people :')

Sheila was my main; my bro's was Sid Burn. Played the ever-living shit out of that game growing up. Knew every hidden secret, every combo. 2nd Offense was fun too but didn't play it quite as much.

I appreciate they revisited it with the Xbox Live Arcade, trying to keep the spirit of the game. It did scratch the itch somewhat.

You would think a new twisted metal game would make its money back on nostalgia alone. Bet you some guy high up was like sorry the show didn’t hit so no game (not that they were going to make one anyway)

I think balance is a problem along with problematic controls. It isn’t as if cars are great for combat. TM and Mario Kart seemed to have collected the niche. And maybe you could count Rocket League.
