That remake has been in development limbo for years.

Supposedly, it's still expected to release, some time around end of 2027/early 2028. But I'd take that with a grain of salt.

Same! Especially since one development spotlight I read said somwthing about "fixing problematic gameplay and story segments." And given a lot of modern media's attempts at "fixing problemetic elements." Im more than critical of any development cycle, until, as you said, we see some gameplay.

They are going to completely cuck the dark side path. Which is insane because if they were ever going to fix it, they should fix the edgelord writing of a lot of it and make it actually more realistic evil

Oh fr, Ive always disliked the cartoonishly evil takes on the Dark Side. I hope they make the choices "realistically evil."

So much this. I pretty much always take light side paths in games because the alternative is just laughably unrealistic. Give me some moral ambiguity and a reason to be tempted.

Yep! I can never play full Renegade Shepard in Mass Effect, because he's supposed to be ruthlessly calculating, bjt the renegade options always cross the line into genuine psychopath behavior...and not even in a fun way, but an omg how havent you been cortmarshaled and how do you still have a ship and a crew?
