Yep. Looks like something that's gonna make you start over if you're 25 feet behind him instead of 20 but then magically speed up if you get too close.
If you had the ability to flex your movement skills, maybe speccing into my different skills to transverse the world, and using the kit you built to solve the problem at hand.
an artificial hurdle. You could Mixtape it and put the controller down for 5 minutes, hold the left analog stick up, and still get the same cutscenes as if you had tried hard to keep up.
Idk why I hated mixtape so much but loved dispatch. I mean it LITERALLY ticks all the boxes (except gameplay) I want! AMAZING music, great characters, and fun animation. But I just, I don't wanna say hated it, but strongly disliked it. I was SO pumped coming off Dispatch "Yeah man a new fun interactive style game!?" And then got what amounts to a game where the gameplay somehow interrupts the story. Unfortunately, I have to say I highly not recommend it.
You can turn off all mini games and QTEs in the game - playing through Spidey 1 remastered, Miles Morales and Spidey 2 this way over the last while and it’s sooo much better. Hope they have similar options in Wolverine.
Spiderman 1 was painful to replay last weekend with the drones and pigeons. Using the web point dodge trick I'd just be EXACTLY 39m behind them for 20-30 seconds (even if I slow down at a point because I'm moving faster than their intended max speed anyways) waiting for it to let me grab them and move on.
Being good at the game should be rewarding not punishing
He has a voice line right up at the end that summarises how I feel about these shitty corridor chase sequences "what the hell I don't have time for this"
I will almost immediately abandon the game if that mechanic shows up. Simple fix, have “timed/distance fails” toggle on or off. Or better yet, figure out a way to turn that escapee into a quest for later. I don’t know, maybe have him start in an area and “sniff” him out with like fait scent markers to follow.
Ha, yeah, my first thought was that this type of mission really seems like it *must* exist in a superhero game still for some reason. And I sooort of get it for Spider-Man, because web-swinging is generally a fun part of the game itself. But for Wolverine, this just looks kinda silly.
