Always seemingly a tough choice for anyone adapting wolverine. He weighs something like 300 lbs. Balancing realism with comic book logic seems to be something they all struggle with regarding wolverine.
With the first gameplay trailer highlighting the "stealth" elements, of Wolverine crouching in a bright yellow suit walking silently on a corrugated metal roof up to an enemy in broad daylight, it's probably too late to turn back. That's probably a 3rd of the gameplay lol
I think it has something to do with his mutation causes him to be more animalistic as the mutation progresses or something like that. Basically explains why he's so hairy I think.
Wolverine is a comic book character. why would someone adapting him into a video game have to balance between comic books and real life physics? video games don't have to abide by the laws of gravity
I don't think that's what they mean. He's supposed to be the peak of human strength, so he should be able to jump pretty high. But then why is he running slower than a normal person?
The better the graphics are getting in modern gaming - the more you notice how not realistic the animations are when not done right.
Like if we got these sh animations in a PS3 game it wouldn't look out of place, but idk why the devs think they can cheapen out on animations and physics in modern gaming space.
Look at how the Spider-Men run in any of the 3 Spider-Man games that Insomniac has made so far. I like those games, but they have similar running animations to this. Heavy and slow is a good way to put it
inbnetween him dropped out of the hanging animation and went back to running, that animation looked rough. basically like a still pose and scooted forward so you can thing there was momentum
He's also not 5'3" like he's "supposed" to be. If he was, those little legs would have to be working extra hard to keep up with the ninjas. Source: me, a 5'2" dude.
People realising how lazy insomniac is will always be funny. Great visuals, but awful dialogue, writing, animations, gameplay systems etc. it's why Spiderman 2 felt weaker than the first game, and I suspect wolverine will have it's fair share of jank too.
What’s crazy is running in Spider-Man is actually pretty terrible feeling; it’s everything else with the webbing that feels amazing like swinging and zipping to things. That’s just NOT going to exist in this game, and it’s like half the fun of the Spidey games. So I hope they figure that out
Looks like a standard, government-issued Sony third person adventure game protag animation. Not much to say there. They could've recycled Kratos' running animation and nobody would bat an eye at this point.
Oh shit You're actually complaining about a guy whose body is filled of INDESTRUCTIBLE METAL looking heavy when he runs and not complaining about the weird ass running animation the red robed ninja has

Anyone else think this running animation looks janky? He looks heavy, slow.
