Admittedly, 90% of the missions in GTA are just pointless or boring. Most of your enjoyment comes from the sandbox stuff

I have played GTA since 3.

I have don't several missions, but I don't think I've completed the entire storymode of ANY.

Usually its a co-op game. Whoever can survive the longest with the most stars. Cheats allowed.

I know what you’re talking about(I think). And those were THE days. But I don’t know if that would be considered co-op. More like we try to beat each other’s “high score”

Old school co-op - toss the controller. We used to do this with cod MP too. You ever wonder how a guy in FFA goes on an 8kill streak then dies like a noob 4 times before going on another killstreak?

In GTA they tell story in those moments so it's less pointless but yeah 50% of it could have been cut in half
