I meant not just in front of him but like all around them. but thats different so I'm wrong sorry.

If you emit an aroma it would be all around you, not just in one direction. I believe thats what hes saying. The look of it is still wrong regardless, because its only in front and behind him, not to his sides as well like a bubble.

Yeah but if you had a cloud of stench around you, and started running, that stench would definitely trail wouldn’t it? Kinda like crop dusting with a fart.

It wouldn't travel faster than you do though. It'd trail until you stop, unless the wind was blowing faster in that direction than you were running.
