Judging by the comments here, OP posting the chase part rather than the actual gameplay and your downvote, I'd say this sub has an agenda to make this game look bad.
Don't know why but it's rather sad to see bitching about a game looking bad when they are reacting to a single clip of a part that isn't the major focus of the game
Yeah these comments are ridiculously judgmental for what amounts to 10% of the gameplay and probably one single mission in the entire game. Especially considering OP chose to cut off the video the moment that any combat popped up.
10% of the gameplay that was shown at the showcase. I also said immediately after that that it probably only constitutes one mission in the entire game.
And I’m not justifying it. You can think that it looks bad and that’s perfectly fine. What I’m saying is that to judge the entire game based on one mediocre looking mission is ridiculous. Especially considering the video cut off the second that combat started up.

Notice how you DID NOT say 10% of the gameplay at the showcase?
Either way, including an objectively mediocre on-rails QTE mechanic to pad the game and to be "cinematic" is stupid. They could have just done something better.
The first one says, and I quote, “this is 10% of the showcase.”
The one after that talks further about how OP only shows to post one part of the showcase.
Then my comment comes around and brings in the 10% figure again, specifically talking about the showcase, before further clarifying that it would be one mission.
My comment makes perfect sense if you bothered to read the ones before it. It’s not my fault you chose to look at my comment in a vacuum and then be condescending about it.
And again, you’re right. They could have done something better. But having the objectively mediocre QTE section doesn’t make the entire game bad. That’s been my point the whole damn time. I literally agree with your claim. I’m pushing back on all the other people talking about how the whole game is/will be bad. I don’t understand why this thread has gone on for this long, and this’ll be my last reply.
I for one would put the game down and uninstall it (PC gamer) if I was forced to do more than one “chase” like shown here. Not a good game in my opinion at that point, I’d rather watch someone play it to figure out the story than be so bored by a follow me simulator.
