This isn't the original, it's a clone. Look closer. This one is called "Purple Place", while the original is "Purble Place" with B. Also the graphics are slightly different. The text on the title screen is the most obvious, but the buildings are shaped and colored differently as well.

Yeah, I played it on school PCs. The computer lab apparently had a fire since then, and so I guess they had to replace the PCs, which meant they had to upgrade from Windows 7 prebuilts to the more readily available Windows 10 prebuilts, which they have to this very day. I've used the Windows 10 prebuilts, and boy are they incredibly slow. Opening a browser is a B+ torture method.
