Onimusha for the sake of nostalgia. Played a lot during PS2 so... really want the series to shine again.

Fire Emblem... as the fan of TRPG I can't skip it.

Trails in the Sky - well, awaited remake of the one of the best game in the series.

Pretty great September)

u/Top1RedDead2Hater 12h ago

I got a deal for ~$5 (converted, it still was cheapin ym curreny) on both Onimushas, really liked them, can't wait to play Way of the sword someday, demo was great, but too pricey

2

u/AARonFullStack 13h ago

Onimusha got reviewed 10/10 by a bunch of critics.. Hopefully it lives up

2

u/shvabrium 12h ago

The demo was fucking awesome

Orbitals, Fire Emblem and Control

10

u/BigB0iBuster 15h ago

Dawnwalker
Onimusha
Wolverine
Control
Silent Hill

29

u/xJujuBear 16h ago

As stacked as this month is, is it weird that I'm only really excited for one of them? For me it's Control 2.

3

u/LetoA_III 15h ago

Only control 2

2

u/Shamn_it 15h ago

It depends on what genre you like. While this list looks incredible, I myself am probably going to buy only one or two of them.

2

u/AARonFullStack 13h ago

It's being given away with a subscription to Geforce now ultimate

None tbh

2

u/plutohater 7h ago

Same here mate, I got my games that I like and don't feel the need to buy whatever is new for the sake of buying new stuff.

Minecraft Dungeons 2

3

u/089shivy 13h ago

Withcher onimusha dawnwalker

3

u/AARonFullStack 13h ago

Blood of dawnwalker, Fire Emblem: Fortunes Weave (never played a Fire Emblem game), and Witcher 3: Remastered

3

u/Changes11-11 12h ago

Blood of Dawnwalker into Witcher 3 remastered (free) im eating good this month, about to finish the master piece that is Zero Company too

5

u/SirHateful17 11h ago

Control!!!

3

u/Bissexto 8h ago

The Witcher 3, will be my first time playing. Plus: Silent Hill, Control and Onimusha.

5

u/Pancakeinsthesky 15h ago

Trails SC is the only game on this list I'm buying this year. Hope to play a few others down the line on sale maybe

4

u/strife189 15h ago

Have 3 but IF I had to rank would be.

Fire Emblem
Blood of Dawnwalker
Sky: 2nd Chapter (as I already played the original)

3

u/Morokite 12h ago

Definitely considering grabbing Ominusha. It looks pretty slick and I want a good action game. I just hope it's not like some modern updates of action games that's like a handful of fights spaced out with a ton of cutscenes and environmental puzzle solving.
Not in the list but Halloween might be a pickup if it scores pretty well. I'd like a cool asym to play.

2

u/yeroc420 15h ago

Nothing I already have the Witcher 3 so I think it’s free

2

u/Karlinel-my-beloved 15h ago

Control resonant and maybe Fire Emblem.

2

u/godotace 15h ago

Fire Emblem, Trails 2nd, Control - day 1. Onimusha, Silent Hill, Orbitals later.

Also am I going to be sucked in for another Witcher 3 replay? Yes.

2

u/ebk_errday 15h ago

Silent Hill Townfall, followed by Onimusha

2

u/DaretoDispute 14h ago

Ridiculously good month.

Top three for me are Wolverine, Control 2 and Silent Hill. Kinda feel bad for the others, it's a tough release window

2

u/ErickRPG 14h ago

buying both fire emblem and trails 2 for switch 2. Loved trails 1 remake. as well as most fire emblems.

2

u/NahIdontbelieveu 14h ago

Dawn walker looks sick as hell. Definitely buying that for sure

2

u/idkwc 14h ago

None of that. I guess I have to keep running through indies. I would play silent hill, but its 1st person perspective. Hate that.

2

u/Ravasaurio 14h ago

Nothing. I’m getting The Witcher 3 remaster for free because I bought the complete edition for 2,99€ some years ago and I still haven’t played, so I’m playing that.

2

u/Excellent_Routine589 14h ago

Wolverine > Control Resonant > Onimusha

Cautiously optimistic for SH Townfall

2

u/tabczar 13h ago

I low-key slept on onimusha

2

u/TotallyNotABob 13h ago

Witcher probably, picked up the base game with all DLC's about a year back on a sale. But just couldn't get into it. With the free upgrade seems like more than a perfect time to try it out again. Especially since I loved Cyberpunk 2077.

2

u/HARRISONMASON117 13h ago

None because I am fiscally responsible. And I already have witcher 3 so the remaster is free. Ha!. But I will be trying dawnwalker IF it doesn't turn out to be shit

2

u/GuillotineTeam 8h ago

Fortunes Weave! Onimusha also since that demo was fun

4

u/Swimming_Photo9295 15h ago

Silent hill townfall

3

u/Visstixx 12h ago

Apparently I am buying none of those. The only one I am interested in, is a free update.

1

u/Jason_Bourne411 15h ago

Crismon moon left the chat

1

u/YamiGekusu 15h ago

Onimusha

2

u/Chessh2036 15h ago

https://giphy.com/gifs/ctuDEoWnHyqselCirq
(Waiting until October for the disc though)

1

u/BobaHutt__ 15h ago

For me its Dawnwalker, easily. And since I couldn't get into Witcher 3 for a while I'll happily await the remastered and try it again.

1

u/arcadiangenesis 14h ago

Oh shit, Screenbound is finally coming out? That's been on my list for a long time, but I always struggled to find any info on it.

1

u/Alarmed-Effective-23 14h ago

Onimusha for sure. Probably fire emblem. Eye on control and orbitals

1

u/THEOCULUSDRAGON1234 14h ago

Gonna be so many bad responses

1

u/Malagubbar 14h ago

Honestly the Witcher 3 update, seems very interesting

1

u/infernal0988 14h ago

In no particular order Onimusha way of the sword, Blood of Dawnwalker, Wolverine, Witcher 3 remaster.

1

u/Ricc7rdo 14h ago

Fortune's Weave.

1

u/HourComprehensive648 14h ago

To be honest, I don't even know how I feel about Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave. Some days I'm excited, other days I hate it, but if there's one thing I'm sure of, it's that I'll be keeping an eye on the game to see if I buy it or not.

1

u/BrokenKing99 14h ago

Wolverine is probably the only one at the moment, dawnwalker I’ll likely get when a mods made to make it so you can level without effecting the timer.

Edit: only cause I already own the Witcher 3

1

u/OkAccountant7442 14h ago

it‘s a really good problem to have but i only have money for one game in the forseeable future, so the choice is absolutely killing me. right now i‘m thinking of going with blood of the dawnwalker though

1

u/Johncurtisreeve 13h ago

Fire emblem

1

u/sludgezone 13h ago

Garfield: Escape From Monday and I’m not joking

1

u/ScaryTemperature6291 13h ago

Blood of dawnwalker

Control 2

Wolverine (not sure yet)

1

u/fatalgeck0 13h ago

Wardogs

1

u/EUWannabe 13h ago

It was supposed to be Trails Second Chapter but when I suddenly got a Switch 2, I pivoted to Fire Emblem being the game I'll get on release. Witcher 3 Remastered announcement also made me think about my future gaming plans.

1

u/Salty-Blueberry-2864 13h ago

Where is hellraiser ? Halloween? Saw ?

1

u/TamaHawk_ 13h ago

Fortunes Weave

1

u/pichael289 13h ago

Blood of the dawnwalker, then fire emblem assuming it's not stupid like the last one with the lame anime characters. Finally we have the Witcher 3 expansion which will absolutely annihilate anything on this list. None of these games cns come anywhere near the witcher. Control will likely be great too

1

u/Fine_Branch_6521 13h ago

my library, finishing them up

1

u/DrSussBurner 13h ago

If I had someone to play with, it would be Orbitals, but I do not.

Incredibly, it’s going to be a backlog month for me. None of these really interest me.

1

u/No_Procedure9357 12h ago

Wolverine then Control 2

1

u/aflyingmonkey2 12h ago

Probably nothing since all of them would probably have insane system requirements

1

u/Bubbly_Can_9725 12h ago

Fire emblem by far

1

u/Oppecmo 12h ago

Orbitals. It has such a great look. Plus these style of games are the only ones my Wife will play, so that's always a good time!

1

u/dasbasst 12h ago

Dune Awakening Sep22

1

u/NadrickOutlawRogue 12h ago

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is my most anticipated game for this year. Though I'll also be picking up Marvel's Wolverine and Control Resonant.

1

u/SoraDrive 12h ago

I'm most looking forward for the call from my bank because I'm gonna be broke by the end of September lol

1

u/34foxalpha 12h ago

Onimusha Wolverine Witcher 3 Control the physical version is in October.

1

u/Sethoria34 12h ago

Good god, none of those.

I'll stick with rimworld and darktide.

Dawnwalker and it’s not close

1

u/FullofChrome 12h ago

Onimusha is a instant buy and dawnwalker will be bought after a huge sale next year i want to plat onimusha before phantom blade zero hits in october

1

u/Hateful15 12h ago

Trails and it's not even close for me.

1

u/DrHob0 11h ago

Onimusha. Moonlighter 2. Don't need to buy the remastered Witcher 3 game, since current owners of the game get it updooted for free (I think that's what was said?)

Keeping an eye on Dawnwalker and Silent Hill.

Quick edit just to add: That's just from this list. My list of indie games releasing is....gonna bankrupt me.

1

u/Loyalty4ever20 11h ago

WARDOGS Sept.11 !

1

u/Leoisback7 11h ago

Orbitals
Wolverine
Minecraft dungeons 2

1

u/arturthegamer 11h ago

BRAZILIAN DRUG DEALER BEFORE 4: DEMONS FROM THE PORTAL TO HELL I OPENED ARE STILL IN THE FAVELA AND NOW I HAVE TO SAVE MAMADAS FROM RONALDO

It's gonna be the game of the year, trust me

1

u/eragon9199 11h ago

I really just don't get excited about games anymore. Once their out and some of my trusted reviewers have weighed in, I might give a new game a chance, but these days it seems to be much safer to assume that everything coming out is garage until proven otherwise.

1

u/HyperXanadu 11h ago

None of them do it for me actually lol. Gonna play Grim Dawn.

Witcher 3 Remaster and Control Resonate are at the top of my list

1

u/Lhyster 10h ago

Definitely Fire Emblem

Maybe Onimusha, Orbitals and Minecraft Dungeons 2

1

u/LiquidSolidGasPower 10h ago

So you’re saying as gamers we have nothing to play

1

u/Symptomatic_guac 10h ago

I cant buy any new games with these prices so i look forward to nothing because it'll mean more games i cant play till i find one in a bargain bin or deep discount ( sorry for ranting ) but if i could win one itd be moonlighter 2 as i enjoyed the first one a lot but it lacked oomph!

1

u/Courage-95 10h ago

Fire Emblem, Onimusha and Control. Non-negotiable

1

u/AcmeGamesLTD 10h ago

9/9 Valheim 1.0 and deep north.

1

u/paretic1666 10h ago

Nothing, keeping my money for gta 6 that will cost a fortune

Control & Dawnwalker for me!

1

u/Grottleburger 10h ago

Minecraft dungeons 2 for me and my kids.

1

u/rock25011 9h ago

Minecraft dungeons 2 with my son!

1

u/narvuntien 9h ago

I will be playing Cyberpunk 2077, which was on sale for $30 a month ago. My computer is too old to play modern games and there is no sign of RAM prices going down any time soon.

1

u/MaliwanArtisan 9h ago

Moonlighter 2

1

u/Khaymn5000 9h ago

Wolverine. No other game this month interests me.

1

u/Meiso75 9h ago

Crimson moon

1

u/cparksrun 9h ago

I'm super intrigued by Crimson Moon. Looks like the kind of game I need right now.

1

Screenbound delayed to a later date.

1

u/Icky_Thump1 8h ago

Technically not awaiting anything, but glancing at my wishlist, this looks way more fun than any of those.

The Blood of Dawnwalker

1

u/No_Philosophy2797 7h ago

Dawn walker, Onimusha, Control Resonant, Silent Hill and Wolverine are all must plays for me. I’ve sunk hundreds of hours into Witcher 3 so I’m gonna wait until the new DLC is releasing next year and replay the whole shebang again leading up to it.

1

u/GhstDev 7h ago

I see no one talking about Crimson Moon. It comes out today. $20. It is a Roguelike souls like that gives kinda Paladin power fantasy that I have always wanted. I’m excited for it.

1

u/SunCrux 7h ago

Fortune’s Weave

1

u/plutohater 7h ago

Witcher 3 remastered is the only game I'm even somewhat interested in because it will finally give me the push to play the game (I've owned it on Xbox and PC but never got around to it)

Other than that I'ma stick to the same 15 games I rotate between

1

u/Winter_Coyote 7h ago

Interested but not hyped: Silent Hill Townfall and Blood of Dawnwalker.

1

u/Heckron 7h ago

Wolverine
Control Resonant
Silent Hill

1

u/MrGlasgow187 7h ago

Onimusha for sure. I really enjoyed the demo and I love me some parries! The ones in this game look and feel awesome and I can't wait!

1

u/Own_Performance271 7h ago

Holding out for Phantom Blade 0

1

u/clagueson 6h ago

Control Resonant, I'm really excited, finished a replay of Control over the weekend and i'm gonna play the lake house dlc for alan wake 2 next to get ready.

1

u/Low-Cream6321 6h ago

Dragon quest XI Switch 2. The blasphemy.

1

u/JustDutch101 6h ago

Moonlighter 2 played way better. Couldn’t really get into the first one but I played the EA on the gamepass and the switch to 3D really helped the combat feel better. Probably sticking to it on gamepass.

I’m going to check out reviews and gameplay for Dawnwalker and Fire Emblem. Dawnwalker gave me very slight Witcher/TES mix up feels so I’m interested to see how it pans out. I like Fire Emblem as a franchise and loved Three Houses, had a way harder time getting into Engage. Will see how the gameplay loop is like to decide whether I’m picking that one up.

Not Quite Dead

1

u/Ohz85 Im frend 6h ago

1

u/sumisilip 6h ago

FE Fortune's Weave and Onimusha. These two are basically my GTA6 of the year

1

u/illusion210 5h ago

Wolveriiiine !

1

u/LoSouLibra 5h ago

Only Wolverine. Got it pre-ordered.

Game Pass for Screenbound and Minecraft Dungeons 2.

I would love to also get Onimusha, Fire Emblem, Control and Silent Hill but I only have so much money and time.

Might check out Witcher 3 for a little bit, since it's a free upgrade. Never really was that into the game tbh.

Maybe hop into Valheim 1.0 or see how that new Runescape game is.

Mewgenics finally coming to console. That's a wait now since they took so long.

Takeover 2 and Walking Dead Streets of Survival might be worth a look.

1

u/Shen_ishere 5h ago

1

Silent Hill Townfall and Witcher 3 Remastered

1

u/the_killer_sandvich 4h ago

Sh townfall and witcher 3 remastered

1

u/Warm-Reporter8965 4h ago

If I could only pick one, Control Resonant. Control was one of the best games I ever played. I think I platinumed it 4 times on PS5. I just don't know how I feel about the combat because it's a little too DMC for me, and I really like Remedy's gunplay. If I can pick more than one then Control Resonant, BotD, Silent Hill Townfall, and RuneScape Dragonwilds.

1

u/Cammando999 4h ago

Onimusha, Wolverine, and Control Resonant imma be busy till gta 6 lol

1

u/Balance-Kooky 4h ago

I guess Onimusha or Trails in the Sky. I'm really only planning on playing Dragon's Dogma 2 this month after the update drops and before the DLC in October. After that its OoT remake and then Fable in February.

1

u/According-Paper4641 4h ago

Already got Orbitals, exited!

1

u/Correct_Look2988 4h ago

Dawnwalker Wolverine Silent Hill Townfall

I will also give Witcher 3 Honorable mention because it's awesome to get this big of an upgrade and another expansion 10 years later.

1

u/LittlenutJack 3h ago

I know I will purchase them and not play for months, I’ll wait for the $40 discount 😭

1

u/Frogpuppet 3h ago

Onimisha Wolverine and Control

1

u/Hungry-Ear-4092 3h ago

Twwh3 dlcs

1

u/Schoonbee411 3h ago

Hot wheels not being on this list is a travesty

1

u/fat_juan 3h ago

Silent Hill Townfall

1

u/SpookyMek 3h ago

Welcome to Elderfield. It's basically horror Stardew Valley with Junji Ito-esque art design and some obvious inspiration from Welcome To Night Vale. The demo was good enough that I stopped playing just to keep the experience fresh for the full game.

1

u/R3AP3R51 3h ago

Blood of the dawnwalker, onimusha and wolverine. Should be good enough until gta 6 lands

1

u/my-goddess-nyx 2h ago

Only game I'm looking forward to this month. Was grinning the entire time I played the demo.

1

u/SnooAvocados3213 2h ago

Control Resonant easily my most anticipated game of the year

1

u/GreyKnightTemplar666 2h ago

9/22 graveyard keeper 2. The only game worth getting this month

1

u/Evening-Golf-6375 2h ago

Fire Emblem for me.

1

u/Falchion92 1h ago

Fire Emblem is the only game that I’m interested in this month.

1

u/JenLiv36 1h ago

Fire Emblem and the Onimusha.

1

u/SpecificControl3585 1h ago

No FromSoftware so I’ll probably play 15 minutes of bloodborne.

Maybe I’ll buy Wolverine and play for 2 hours, only to realize my dopamine system is cooked and then go back to a fromsoftware game

1

u/NLikeFlynn1 1h ago

Trails 2!

1

u/Effective_Welder_817 1h ago

moonlighter 2

1

u/MrMegaPhoenix 58m ago

Hot wheels infinite rush

1

u/Scott9843 51m ago

Definitely Blood of Dawnwalker.

The other game I'm looking forward to isn't even on this list, and that's RuneScape: Dragonwilds.

1

u/CyberpunkYakuza 48m ago

Really only hyped for Dawnwalker and Control. Beat the Witcher so many times but will definitely try out the remaster at some point, especially since I'm getting it for free.
