At least when it comes to prostitutes, this is a rare case of "a broken clock is correct two times a day".
Sex work, similar to weed, has been pretty much normalized, if not part of pop culture, and visiting a brothel or hiring an escort is (IMHO) nothing that should bar anyone from anything, at least as long as there was consent and both parties involved above 18.
And yes, having worked in sex work should also not be a disqualifying factor - better revise that as well soon, or you won't find any candidates willing to join the shitshow.

Sure, if you just cherry pick a situation that puts one side in a good light and the other side in a bad one.
Both sides have angry idiots in the lime light giving their side a bad look and constantly creating enemies with all the insults.
The decent people on each side are too busy going to work to pay bills and raise their kids to not be fuckheads when they grow up. They also don't cut friends and family out of their lives because their beliefs differ over something they have no power over.

If you actually go out into your community and respectfully interact with people, you'll find most people to be decent, regardless of political alignment.
