Japan Visa Approved - Indians - Quick Process !!

🇯🇵 Japan Visa Approved — Father + Minor Daughter | Super Quick process !

Sharing our experience because Reddit helped me prepare our applications.

Both visas approved — no queries, additional documents or employment verification.

Father: Indian private-sector employee

Daughter: 14-year-old minor

Purpose: Sports event in Japan

Daughter: VFS Chennai

Father: VFS Bengaluru

Processing: Daughter — submitted Tuesday, approved on Friday. Father — visa stamped on the 4th working day, passport collected on the 5th working day.

Finances: My bank closing balance was only ~₹1 lakh, but I had substantial FDs with bank certified balance certificates. I mentioned in my covering letter that part of the FD could fund the trip.

New employment: Only a few months old, but supported by employment certificate, 3 months' salary slips/bank statement, NOC/leave sanction and previous NRI employment documentation. No verification was requested.

Biggest lesson: Covering letter is extremely important. Clearly explain your purpose, day-to-day itinerary, finances, employment, travel history and any missing checklist document. Don't leave anything for the visa officer to guess.

For Bengaluru, local residence proof is important. I used Amazon/e-commerce bills plus my employment certificate showing company-provided accommodation and the Bengaluru address.

Also, check the checklist for your specific jurisdiction—Chennai and Bengaluru requirements can differ.

Hope this helps fellow applicants. 🙏🇯🇵

Japan visa from VFS Bangalore on 21st Aug

Applied for visa on 21st Aug, 2026 for me and my wife. Travelling on November 6th (for 10 days). Both of us are sponsoring for the trip. We applied for short term visa.

Submitted the documents on 21st August, got processed and dispatched on 31st August. Received passports on 1st September. There was 1 holiday on 26th August which might have cause slight delay.

Time taken: 11 days (5 working days, considering the days it was received and dispatched by Japan embassy)

Documents submitted - Original passports, cover letters (for both), NOC, airline tickets, hotel bookings, detailed day-to-day itinerary, payslips 3months, ITR acknowledgement 3years, bank statements 3months (no stamping), marriage certificate, rental agreement and additional address/employment verification letter (wife gave her offer letter). We gave the last additional document as the rental agreement was renewed late and very recently so wasn’t sure if that would be a strong address proof.

Final outcome: Accepted (15 days tourist visa)

A bit of backstory- Hi I’m looking to go New York with a friend and cousin for Christmas and new years from 23rd of December till 1st of January. I have a Finnish passport and have visited Somaliland 3-4 times since 2011 to see relatives. I’m 20 studying at University and I have a part time job that I just started so hopefully will get accepted.

I get paid on the 18th of September and will be able to fill out the form and pay then I was wondering how long the wait times are for the appointments at the London USA embassy.

Africa Egypt visa

I am a Pakistanis national with a Pakistani passport but currently living in the UK on a work visa. I am wanting to visa Egypt for a holiday. Does anyone know if I am eligible for a visa on arrival?

I have checked the Egypt consulate website and point 2 under the visa section seems to suggest I can get a visa on arrival but the wording is a little confusing.

Does anyone have any similar experiences and did you manage to get a visa on arrival or an e-visa?

Here is the link to the consulate website- https://egyptconsulate.co.uk/visas/

Visa-On-Arrival Exit/Re-Entry

I (holder of a valid and used US visa holder) arrived with my family and obtained a visa-on-arrival as first degree family members. I entered on work visa while they were granted VOA upon arrival which is valid for 1 year, has multiple entries, 90 days duration of stay. Now we want to exit KSA and re-enter from Causeway so that their duration of stay is renewed for another 90 days. What I want to know is that has someone does this recently? Do we need to obtain a Bahrain visa or we can just exit, make a U-turn (without entering Bahrain), and then re-enter KSA? Is there any issues or things I need to worry about? Please guide in detail if you have done so.

Nationality : Pakistani

Schengen Name mismatch on Visa Sticker

Hi everyone,

I received my Italian visa today from the Italian Consulate in Bucharest, but I noticed that there is a one-letter spelling mistake in my name on the visa sticker.

Passport: REHMAN MUHAMMAD TAYYAB U

Visa sticker: REHMAM MUHAMMAD TAYYAB U

The Consulate explained that the name was automatically retrieved from the data encoded in my passport. They said they cannot reprint it, but they offered to correct it manually and place an official stamp over the correction.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Would a manually corrected and officially stamped visa cause any issues when entering Italy or when applying for the Permesso di Soggiorno?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

No application updates - Anyone who applied at VFS Edinburgh in August 2026?

I applied for a Schengen Visa for Switzerland at VFS Edinburgh on August 21st. Usually, you get an email and SMS when you submit your application, when it is in transit to London, when it reaches the Swiss Embassy, and so on.

However, since submitting on the 21st, I have not received a single update regarding the status of my passport.

I called the VFS Switzerland inquiry centre three times over the past two weeks, and they do not have a record of my application either, other than confirming that I submitted it on the 21st.

I noticed that several people who applied at VFS Edinburgh are going through a similar scenario right now.

Is anyone else experiencing this complete radio silence from Edinburgh? If you have been through this recently, how long did it take for your status to finally update, or did your passport just show up unexpectedly?

Would appreciate any insights or shared experiences.

Japan visa expires Nov 30, but my trip ends Dec 3 can I legally stay until Dec 3?

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for a Japanese Temporary Visitor visa.

I’m a little confused/worried about the difference between the visa validity date and the period of stay, and I’d really appreciate confirmation from anyone who has dealt with this before.

I previously had a Japanese visa that looked like this:

Date of issue: 4 September 2025

Date of expiry: 4 December 2025

Entries: Single

Period of stay: 15 days

For my new trip, my itinerary is:

Arrive in Japan: 18 November 2026

Depart Japan: 3 December 2026 at around 2:00 AM

Total time between arrival and departure: 15 days, with the arrival date apparently treated as Day 0 for the period-of-stay calculation.

My understanding is that my new visa was approved/issued around 31 August 2026, so if it has the standard 3-month validity, the visa expiry could be around 30 November 2026.

This is what I'm worried about:

If my visa says “Date of expiry: 30 NOV 26”, can I still remain in Japan until 3 December because I entered Japan on 18 November while the visa was valid and was granted a 15-day period of stay at immigration?

Thank you very much! 🙏

Japan Visa - VFS Chennai

Hi All,

I'm planning a group trip to Japan with 3 of my other friends.

My question is, is it necessary to mention the other three people in my cover letter, and mention it as a group travel. Or is it better that each of us applies without reference to each other in cover letter (as a solo trip).

All our flights are booked seperately, and hotel bookings we can get the confirmation in individual names as well.

Apostille for Saudi Business VISA

Hi, I have to apply for a Business VISA for Saudi Arabia as Indian. I have the invitation letter and all other required documents from the Saudi Company. However, the one place I'm stuck at is the Apostille of my degree. So the Tasheer website says the following for Delhi office:

" All educational certificates (Degree/Diploma) must be submitted in clear colour copies along with original bearing the official stamp of the issuing University or Institute duly Apostille from MEA along with its E-Sanad copy. If the institution/university/college does not provide any official stamp, the documents must be attested by the Government State Department of Education. Certificates issued in any regional language other than English must be translated into Arabic and duly apostilled "

My question is – I completed my graduation during Covid from Delhi University and do not really have the physical degree. I have the digilocker degree. Somehow it is not getting fetched from e-sanand idk why. I talked to some agents and they said that digilocker one would work but I have my doubts and don't want the VISA to be rejected.

So, if I get the digilocker verified degree Apostille through the SDM route - having SDM stamp sign and the notary and then e-apostille from MEA. Would this work or would this be rejected? Can anyone please help!

First-time Korea visa (C-3-9) from Bangalore as a student — sister paying, dad providing financial proof. What exactly should I submit?

Hi everyone! I’m applying for a South Korea tourist visa for the first time and I’m trying to do it myself rather than using a travel agency. I’ve researched the basic requirements, but I’m still confused about a few things and would really appreciate someone who has recently applied from Bangalore guiding me.

My situation:

  • I’m an Indian college student.
  • I’m applying at the Korea Visa Application Center in Bangalore.
  • Planning to submit my application on 17 September 2026.
  • My Korea trip is 12–18 October 2026.
  • I’ll be travelling to Korea alone from India.
  • My sister will be coming separately from Japan and we’ll meet in Korea. So I am NOT travelling to Korea with her.
  • My sister will be paying for my entire Korea trip, including flights and accommodation.
  • I am currently on my college's study/semester holidays during the trip, so I won't have classes during those dates.
  • I can get a bonafide/student certificate from my college.
  • I have previously travelled internationally to Dubai, but I have never been to Korea.
  • I already have my flight and hotel bookings.

My main concern is the financial documents.

My sister is the person actually paying for my Korea trip, but her bank account isn't particularly strong. My dad's bank account, on the other hand, has a strong balance and regular financial activity, and I can provide his bank statement and ITR documents.

Would it be okay to:

  1. Mention my sister as the person paying for my trip on the visa application form, since she is actually paying for my flights/hotel?
  2. Submit my dad's bank statement/ITR as additional financial proof, even though he isn't the person directly paying for the trip?
  3. Should I also submit my sister's bank statement even though it isn't as strong?
  4. Do I need a sponsorship letter from my sister, my dad, or both?
  5. What proof should I provide to establish my relationship with them?

I'm also confused about the application form itself. I found the 5-page printable Korean Visa Application Form online. Is this the correct form for the Bangalore KVAC, or is there a separate online application/e-form that I need to complete?

And if anyone has recently applied for a C-3-9 tourist visa through Bangalore, I'd really appreciate a step-by-step rundown of:

  • documents you submitted
  • how you handled sponsorship
  • financial documents
  • whether you needed a NOC/leave letter from college
  • whether flight/hotel bookings were sufficient
  • anything people commonly get wrong
  • how the submission process at Bangalore KVAC works
  • processing time you actually experienced

I'm trying to make sure I have everything prepared before 17 September, so any advice from someone who's actually gone through the process recently would be hugely appreciated!

Thanks! 🙏

Morocco eVisa stuck on "Request for Additional Document" - asking to "complete given name" even though I already corrected it

Applied for a Morocco eVisa and got a status update saying:

Notice: Kindly complete your given name in the application form
Action: Complete the application

I went back into the form and corrected the given name field with my passport exactly. I re-saved but the status still shows the same request.

Has anyone run into this specific "complete given name" notice before? A few things I'm trying to figure out:

  • Could this be a stale status message that just hasn't refreshed yet after my correction?
  • Did resubmitting/re-uploading anything help, or did you have to contact support directly?

Any insight from people who've been through this would help. Thanks!

Japan Visa Application Question (V Imp!!)

So we submitted our visa today and the agent accepting told us that the Aadhar card with noidas address is not enough to prove jurisdiction? We have bar council registration of Delhi and we also gave wi if bills since he said that but is this true? I thought the Aadhar card should be okay?
Plus they removed a lot of documents, we had to request them to add mutual fund proof because my husband earns primarily from that so it was imp to us.

Note: our bank docs, marriage doc etc showed our hometowns name and address so he said simply Aadhar won’t be enough, you should have bank address changed. Was even asking us to come back with bank address changed for future applications (which does make sense but could not do anything for this one)

We got Italy visa also and we gave only WiFi bill as address proof back then for my husband. Mine was employment. Will it be an issue?

Asia Traveling to Vietnam but my evisa is still processing repost

Hi everyone,

I’m heading to Ho Chi Minh City on September 3, 2026, and planning to travel around Vietnam long-term.

I applied for a 90-day eVisa last week, but it’s still in processing (likely delayed due to the National Day holidays in Vietnam). My flight is in 2 days and I don't want to waste it.

I hold a Philippine passport, which allows me 21 days of visa-free entry. I’m considering flying in on the 21-day visa exemption first, but I have a few questions:

What happens to my pending 90-day eVisa? Will it still be approved while I’m already inside the country?

Can I activate the eVisa from inside Vietnam? Or do I have to leave (e.g., a border run to Cambodia) and re-enter using the new eVisa?

EDIT: I'm at Taiwan rn, and my visa is going to expire within a few days

Africa Visa on arrival at Cairo Sphinx International Airport ?

Hi everyone, me and my girlfriend are going on a trip to Egypt in less than a week (in 5 days exactly). We initially planned to both get an e-visa on the official website, but after several tries, the website failed to work and when it finally did, it was really buggy and unclear. Moreover, we have no guarantee to get it on time (as I said, it wasnt working before today). So my question is, is it ok and possible to get visas on arrival at the Sphinx International Airport ? And if so, how quick and easy is it ? We're landing around noon on a sunday.

Thanks a lot !!
