Shift change

Do all waffle houses require the manager to come back for the shift change on days they worked?

My manager only works first shift and then we don’t see him until his next shift. Supervisors take care of most of the management needs (changing out drawers etc) during shift change

Thanks, do you know if he’s supposed to and just has an arrangement with his shift supervisors?

From what I understand I don’t think he’s supposed to be there for changeover beyond his shift. Other stores/districts could do it differently though.
With the way scheduling works (managers work 1st shift) he’s there for 2/3 changeovers anyways. He just isn’t present for the 2nd into 3rd shift changeover which is taken care of by a supervisor.

They are suppose to during the weekend at 9 for shift change, also they will come in at 9 before they take their days off to make sure commissary is ready for manager working the days they are off. Which ever manager ran shift on 1st be it UM, DM or relief manager they should be coming in at 9 Friday- sunday

Now that don't mean that's how it happens but one should be there at least once during the week for 9m shift change.

Yes managers are currently required to come back for drawer changes on Friday and Saturday’s that they work. From what I’ve seen some areas have more strict rules like coming back three days instead of two—depends on your area. Show up at 8:30 stay until all 3rd shifters arrive. The holidays are a bit different though, there is a drawer change schedule that is made. So you’ll do it specific days. I went on Tuesday and Wednesday one week last year. Sometimes the Region Manager/AVP will let everyone skip a drawer change if they confirm in advance that everyone will be there.
