News During Tuesday's episode of The Hoop Collective, Slater said Warriors gave Steph multiple extension options to decide on and also revealed that the Warriors attempted to trade for star center Jaren Jackson Jr. before he was sent to the Utah Jazz.

"They're not like negotiating with Steph Curry right now. They are saying, 'You can do this, you can do this, you can do this. If you want the one-year max, if you want the two-year max, if you want to wait, here's your menu. Pick off your menu,'" Slater said (5:24 mark).

"I'll give you one that is probably talked about least in the last few years of swings and misses: it's Jaren Jackson at the deadline," Slater said (11:05 mark). "They were kind of sniffing around that."

Discussion KD gets too much hate for joining the 73-9 Warriors - the fit was also obscene

As good as the 2016 warriors were, the 2017 warriors were way, way better.

People don't talk enough about the fit. KD was automatic in the midrange, and is possibly the best 1-1 player to ever live. He fit effortlessly into the gravity and movement system. He's like if Shawn Livingston was also an MVP.

He didn't just join to bench-ride to a free ring. He joined to create one of the most unfairly constructed teams to ever play in the league - a legit 16-0 team. And sometimes, you just gotta let the intrusive thoughts win.

I just saw NBA.com has the Warriors playing on Oct 4th in Honolulu for their 1st pre-season game against the Clippers. Did they recently add this game to their 2026-27 pre-season schedule? Would be great if it was correct to see Curry and the Warriors back in Stan Sheriff Center again.

update: Yes they are coming to Honolulu to play the Clippers. Just saw in the local news the Clippers are here for training camp.

News [Marks] The window for Stephen Curry to sign an extension with Golden State is now open. From now until June 30, Curry is eligible to sign up to a 2yr/$136.7M extension. Because of the Over 38 rule, 2 years is the max allowed in an extension. He can sign for up to 3 seasons if he waits until FA.
