It seems i like landscape and houses . What i realised after painting few pieces is that .. i have to focus on realistic water color painting ( I tried loose water colour painting but I just don't get it .. I will do it later).

I think the mountain ledge on the right is too dark and it brought it too close. The only thing that says that it’s farther away is the one branch that goes in front of it. But it looks too close. The other thing that bothers me is that trees usually aren’t one dimensional. 😂 I mean that’s one flat tree so on the next one I need to bring some of those branches forward. And that might get tricky. I don’t know how to do that. So please any help you can give me, is very appreciated. I’ve been wanting to paint this since I was a little girl and we had a similar one in a long panel on our wall and I love that painting. I’m going to keep painting this until I get it right.

I always loved the Hudson River School style. I know it's normally done with oil paint, but I'm using watercolor at the moment. This is my first try after following a lesson.

Now I am teaching myself watercolor with my non dominant hand since a car accident and wanted to share it because I didn't think it was that bad.

I’m getting a little better at capturing cool and warm tones and creating believable depth. I love how this portrait of my Weimaraner turned out. This was my last portrait on my starter Canson paper before I bit the bullet and invested in Arches cold press cotton, because reworking the nose and right eye was getting just too mealy. Wow I love the new paper! Fellow aspiring or actual realists, what might I have done to improve this work?

not very good at it I know but I’m having a lot of fun ahah, watercolor is very hard but so pretty, I really want to improve and I try my best !

This is my first architectural painting, and as you can see i went full confident! So I spent couple of hours on this so far, and now I'm scared of adding colors.

Have you got any tips?

We've seen a user starting with shadows on his buildings at first. He applied a blue layer before adding building 's color. It super beautiful at the end.

But this house if of several colors and I wonder wether adding a single color as shadows would blend smoothing and consistently with the actual items colors (white, deep red, some touch of ocre, and really dark green for pipes)

Hi followed a 4 step technique 1.
Line drawing. 2 Very wet wash letting color bleed and reserving some white. Let dry. 3. Less wet washes for middles and darks striving for as few washes as possible. Let dry. 4. Drybrush of dark accents and finer details and white gouache.

Any tips are welcome, I’m brand new to art in general 🙏
