The only time a goblin should be green is if they're trying to kill Spider-Man. In that case, it was so abnormal that the name had to call it out. Everyone defaulting to the Warcraft aesthetic for fantasy irks me.

Now I've suddenly remembered lore from something where goblins or orcs were plant based and now I have to remember what it was

In Warhamster 40K, Orcs are fungus colonies, and Goblins are small Orcs.

You do realize that in mythology/cryptids Goblin kind of just boils down to a mischevious little person? There are variations, but like. That is for sure a Goblin in modern interpretations of the Goblin Archetype
