Hi everyone. I’m posting from Dr Raymond Platon & Associates, a dental practice in Wetherill Park.
We are often asked what cosmetic dentistry actually includes, because it can mean very different things depending on the condition of the teeth and what someone is hoping to improve.
Cosmetic dental treatment may involve concerns such as tooth colour, shape, spacing, worn edges, alignment or the appearance of damaged teeth.
Depending on the individual situation, options may include professional whitening, composite bonding, veneers, crowns, braces or clear aligners.
No single option is automatically the best choice. The appropriate treatment depends on factors such as the health of the teeth and gums, the bite, existing restorations, tooth position and the patient’s goals.
We recently prepared a simple guide explaining what a cosmetic dentist may be able to help with and how different treatment options are considered:
https://www.drplaton.com.au/cosmetic-dentist-wetherill-park-treatment-options/
Sharing it in case it is useful to anyone in Western Sydney considering cosmetic dental treatment. General questions are welcome, although individual treatment advice requires a proper dental assessment.

I'm 25 years old and looking to meet likeminded people. I looked up Sydney game lovers on Meetup, but most of their events close to where I live are at night, and I don't want to be out at night unless necessary.

I own a new marketing agency in western Sydney and we are looking for a junior to come on. Is this something you might be interested in chatting about. We are located in Penrith, only a short walk from the train station.

I’ve been building GPS puzzle races where you solve clues and codes to work out where you need to go next.
I’ve now made 4 around the Hills — 2 driving races around the area and 2 walking races through Fagan Park.
They’re all completely free to play.
If you're local and looking for something a bit different to do this weekend, give one a go:

There’s something I’ve been observing the past few weeks as I’ve been coming home. I live on a cul de sac, with around 15 properties along the street. At random hours of the night, not so much early morning, cars will come in and out of my street on multiple occasions.
I was renting in another part of western Sydney as I was having my house fixed up and didn’t see that many cars. That suburb was quite larger and had more homes around me.
If I sit in my car at 6PM, 7PM, 8PM.. etc, at least 5 cars will come in and out of the street within the span of 10 minutes. Is this normal? Some people I’ve observed just sit in their car with headlights on. Each household only has max 2 cars each. There’s nothing around my street like shops that would require that many cars. I’m trying to think maybe some food deliveries or something but I’m not sure.
Am I being dramatic or is this strange?

My main question is: Is it possible to get a 90 Atar with a 60% internal?
Hi, so due to some personal and family issue i couldnt perform well in my year 12! nearly failed my trials! but my overall marks range 60% - 75% in all my subject. I do Maths adv, maths extension 1, Bio, chem, legal and English standard. My ranks are average ( within top 12 in all subj as I have a small cohort ). My school rank is mid. Its just a local public school. Did anyone face something like this yet managed to get a good atar (90+) with a high performance in HSC? Or am I being delusional?
I would really appreciate if someone can share their experience if they overcame their low internals in HSC.
i just wanna know if something like this is possible! Will it worth to work sleepless to perform the highest in hsc?

Hi everyone. I’m posting from Dr Raymond Platon & Associates, a dental practice in Wetherill Park.
We are often asked about the difference between a crown and a veneer.
A crown covers most or all of the visible tooth and may be considered when a tooth is heavily filled, cracked, worn or structurally weakened.
A veneer covers mainly the front surface of a tooth and is generally considered for selected concerns involving colour, shape, wear or small gaps.
Neither option is automatically better. The appropriate choice depends on the condition of the tooth, the amount of healthy enamel remaining, the bite and the patient’s goals.
We recently prepared a simple guide explaining the differences, treatment considerations and questions patients can ask before deciding:
https://www.drplaton.com.au/crowns-vs-veneers-wetherill-park/
Sharing it here in case it is helpful to anyone in Western Sydney researching these options. General questions are welcome, although individual treatment advice requires a proper dental examination.

Hi everyone! This might be a long shot since I’m not 100% sure Campsie is in Western Sydney but I’ll take my chances 😅
I’m a Year 11 student currently completing a Geography Investigation Project for my school assignment and I’d really appreciate your help!
I’m investigating how environmental quality, urban design and infrastructure influence pedestrian activity within Campsie. I’d be incredibly grateful if anyone who has visited or lives in Campsie spare 3-4 minutes to complete my survey, completely anonymous!
Your responses will really, really help my research, and every response is greatly appreciated!
Thank you so much! 😁😁

📱 UTS research participants wanted!
We are Master of Interaction Design students researching how adults aged 40+ experienced the transition from feature phones with physical buttons to smartphones.
If you have used both types of phone, we would love to hear from you! The survey takes only 2–3 minutes, and you can also volunteer for a follow-up interview.
Participation is voluntary, and all information will be treated confidentially. Thank you! 😊
