I have a blue one called a "backjoy" so im guessing multiple companies make the same exact thing. I was surprised at how much they cost but it was worth every penny as a person with chronic back and neck pain, they really are phenomenal
That is a Thera Cane (or a similar style of trigger point self-massage tool).
It's designed with various hooks, knobs, and curves so you can leverage it over your shoulders, back, and neck to apply direct pressure to hard-to-reach muscle knots and trigger points.
I had bad pain from shoulder surgery that muscle relaxers and pain killers wouldn't touch! I used a theracane and methodically broke apart the muscles that were stuck together and the pain went away!
Same. These things are amazing. Ended up buying one for each of my family because they work so well for shoulder and back pain if you can’t get to a good masseuse.
Did a lot of freestyle bmx and gym in my younger days and ended up with a shoulder repair. When my physio handed me one of these I thought they were joking. It helped fix my shoulder and then sat at the back of my cupboard for a couple of years. Until hunching over a desk sent me back to a physio who recommended tennis balls against a wall which is when I remembered this thing. Omg it is amazing.
I keep one in my office and there is a regular stream of traffic through here of people asking if they can use my “back pain thingy.” I’ll tell you what I tell them: go slow, be gentle, and don’t force it if a knot isn’t releasing.
Yeah that's my concern. I have pretty severe back issues, fibro and hEDS, along with cervical damage. So I'm always in pain from my back- joints and muscles. I'm always happy to try something but it does look a little scary.
I have hEDS and trigger point injections have been a god send for my shoulder/back pain. Cause of the way I sit/carry myself my muscles had a lot of adhesions that I couldn’t break up on my own. I’ve been through two rounds now and that shoulder is pain free ish. Now other one hurts tho lol
lol my brother sent me one a few years ago. Came with no paperwork. I never figured out how to use the damn thing. Honestly thought it might be for a woman and my little bro was just playin bullshit with me lol.

Called a Thera Cane. Allows you to put it over your shoulder to massage your back without playing Twister with yourself. Various hand holds and spots can treat various issues.
It's the best damn purchase I ever made. Awesome self massage tool for neck and back, perfect when laying down for getting any knots out of your trapezoids.
First and foremost, thanks for using a glove when handling an unknown object. Second best choice behind taking a photo without touching it. I hope this becomes normalized.
Omg one of these things rendered me basically immobile for a whole month. I was reallly getting after what I thought was a “knot” but shortly thereafter learned I was actually just crushing a pulled back muscle and aggravating a tear. I have never been so uncomfortable in every waking moment as i was from one of these.
The best thing EVER when you carry stress in your neck or shoulders and get really bad knots. It hurts like hell, but helps in breaking the pressure of the knots
Some variation of the Thera-Cane as others have pointed out; i.e. self-massage tool thingy for hard to reach pressure points on your back/neck/shoulders
Dude! Thats a really cool back massager too. I use a Thera-cane brand one. Its perfect for those of us who are great at giving massages, but never get to receive one.
And i guess you can put it in your butt too if youd like
Don’t listen to these people. That’s a cursed monkey paw and now you have to pass the curse before the next full moon. Those students didn’t leave through the front door.
Personal back massager. You can reach you own shoulders and back without raising you arms. There's probably a bunch of other massage uses given the multiple points on it.
I have this exact same one. I tend to carry a lot of stress in my upper back and the end with the pointed tip really fucking digs into my shoulder so good.
