This book came with a white cassette tape with an orange label. I remembered that the tape opened with the song "Measuring Words" on side one as well as a song called "The Shape Family on Side 2. This tape was made in 1988.

There was this book that I used to always see in my local B&N that always intrigued me, but I never bought it at the time. I can't remember the plot of the synopsis, but I remember the cover. It was a series of horses ridden by knights going through a swamp, I seem to remember the knights had red on their armor and the horses may have been white. I know it was a fantasy book.

I remember a series about a Luna that was caught and brought back to the pack.
I think one of the books there were two mates and they ended up having kids.
One Luna got unbonded and then was kicked out of the pack house.
I also remember some sort of serial killer and I believe he was held in a basement for questioning

I read a book back in the 70s. It was about a student and teacher.

I can only remember one part. It was the student committing a gruesome murder by drowning a person in a bathtub full of eggs.

It had a super creepy with the description of the person's face and mouth.

Can anybody help me with the title to this book?

I saw this book at Gere Branch Library in Lincoln, NE.

So basically this book is set in Venice and our protaganist has a super power which I forgot and she is a girl. There is a female djin who has like a disguised building in Venice I think? There are missing people and basically she kidnaps them to her djin home and in pretty sure protaganist finds out. Book ends with something with pirates and that's all I can remember.

Also book potentially has Venice in name.

Hello everyone so I am looking for a book from my childhood that I reqlly liked.

I've had this book around 2009-2013-ish time period, it was bought in Kazakhstan, but it was a translated one. Something tells me original language of the book might have been French, but I am not sure about this.

The artstyle was stylized, sort of cartoonish, the closest thing I can think of is artstyle of Tintin comic books.I also remember the cover of it including blue and yellow colors.

Speaking about the size of a book itself, it was not very long, so not a thick tome.

Some of the personalities that were mentioned there were: Hannibal Barca, Charlemagne, Roland, Oliver Cromwell, Jeanne D'Arc. Maybe Julius Caesar was also mentioned there, but I am not sure about this.

This is all the details I can remember from the get-go, but if someone have more questions I'll try to answer them the best I could.

This is driving me nuts! I clearly remember this as a small postcard sized hardback book. The story was about inside cats and outside cats rising up and throwing all the humans into the streets. The illustrations were all old Belle Epoque era postcards of cats wearing clothes, going to school etc. I was given it in the late 70s early 80s, and I’ve been looking for a copy for years. The illustrations were quite pastel/muted colours and a lot of them were French.

I don't really remember much about it, I read it a while ago but what I remember of the book is that it at least partially in Africa for the first while of this dudes life, at one point it mentions dogs being named after something on them like spot if they had a spot, and at a different part him and his mom jumped out of a bus, I don't remember why exactly but I think it had something to do with someone being creepy, that's all I remember. Hey everyone. I need your vastly bookworm skills. I never liked reading physical books that much, mostly because some of them are very thick. I do have a few that I just liked and kept, even after 15+ years.

Anyway, there was this book I've read like 15 years ago and I can't find it anywhere. I think it was called "Piranha" and from what I remember I think it was the story of 2 Italian dudes, that were very good friends, who went on an expedition in the Amazon rainforest. Dude A had a ring on his finger, a very important ring, that he always wore on his pinky (I think). Dude B had no clue why his friend was always wearing the ring and he was never told. At one point, Dude A was shot and thrown out of the boat by some guys who wanted to do him bad (or he fell) and piranhas started eating him. Dude B takes him out of the water and tries to rescue him, but Dude A dies because of the wounds. On his deathbed, Dude A gave the ring to his friend. When Dude B came back to Italy / Sicily, he realized that the ring was the ring of Il Capo di Tutti Capi.

Recently my dad was describing an illustrated copy of 1001 Arabian Nights that he had as a kid. I am hoping to track it down to give it as a gift for him. He was born in 1967, so this would have likely been in the 70s or early 80s. He specifically mentioned one about a fish illustration? Does anyone have any ideas what edition this might be? I know there's a million iterations, but I am trying to narrow it down. Thank you!

Okay. I discovered this a few months ago so my memory is a bit fuzzy. It was a tiktok account advertising a book written on Tumblr (and maybe AO3?). It used that fragratica trend where there was a quote and a picture with a bunch of scents. I remember every character had a heavy southern accent "an' talked like this, darlin'". I know that a heavy plot point was that a pastor had gone missing (and I think was also a serial killer?) The story took place in the south and the last part I watched, there was a character taking the main character down to Georgia. I also know that the title of the story itself was Mushrooms Sting Too, but when I look it up on Tumblr, I can't find it and I don't remember the name of the account that posted the videos or the book

I am looking for an older British children's book probably titled The Sampler.

A boy narrates the opening in first person: he remembers taking his birthday money from a generous uncle to a curiosity shop, buys some small objects (spyglass etc.), and the elderly shopkeeper eventually sells him an old sampler and an accompanying book. The boy initially dismisses the sampler as “for girls”. The narrative then switches into the book-within-the-book, consisting of short stories, each chapter is represented by a scene on the sampler. The chapters are called things like The Dog, The Fox, The Rabbit, The Farmers (or Brothers?).

One story (The Dog) concerns Floss, a black Cocker Spaniel described as being “worth her weight in gold”; she has such a soft mouth that she can carry eggs without breaking them, and she saves a family from a fire caused by a lamp tipping over in the baby's room. Another involves foxes/poachers and possibly a gin trap. Two farmer brothers quarrel, have contrasting fortunes and eventually reconcile. Another concerns a supposedly wise animal, possibly a duck, which answers questions and advises a man who has lost his appetite for breakfast to eat a smaller dinner. The final story concerns a sailor who brings his wife a pet monkey; it escapes on the journey home, but his wife surprises him with their new baby, a girl called Daisy. I think the wife possibly made the sampler, or the shopkeeper turns out to have married Daisy, or something similar giving it a soft of circular narrative.

The chapters are self-contained but overlap to an extent, with some characters recurring in different stories e.g. the farmer who owns the cocker spaniel is also, from my memory, in the chapter about the fox.

The physical book was small, thin and old-fashioned, with black-and-white illustrations and a picture of the sampler itself. I first read it around 1988 but believe it was considerably older as it references old money.

There’s a book from our childhood where Andy pandy wallpapers the inside of his room and he gets stuck and has to find his way out. I don’t think it’s Andy Pandy paints his house as it’s a specific page and I don’t think I’ve seen it in this one. Please help! My very pregnant sister wants a copy for her child.

The chapter book in Middle School mainly about inventions. I'm pretty sure the dad's name was Cornelius who had a daughter that meets this orphan. The daughter's mom is dead and the mom has a secret ish room that they don't go in except the daughter goes in once. I believe the mom was either an artist or an inventor too. It's kind of steampunkish and I feel like the last names of the main family begin with a V. Maybe it was Vander-something but I might be wrong about that, maybe it was the daughter's name that began with a V. It was a somewhat long chapter book and in middle ranges kind of lower middle between 5th grade to 8th grade. Though I remember picking it up in 7th grade and I don't recall it being a challenging book.

Some years ago I came across a picture book about a dresser drawer. I vaguely remember the book being about a kid and maybe the dresser getting sold or given away but the dresser drawer part of it stuck with me. I'd love some help figuring out what book it might have been. Thanks!
