I feel like if all social media sites had a dedicated daily goal counter, most people would realize how normal this shit really is.
All you gotta do is open the app for less than 30 seconds, like a post, and that's it, you've completed the daily goal.
Pretty sure everybody does that, and for way longer.

Literally opening it up for a few minutes a day and giving a like to one post in a reddit you've subscribed to is hardly a huge time sink...
Obviously many/most of us spend more time here than than.... but the streak really isn't hard to maintain. A little browsing while you shit is plenty.

The worst is, when you get a temporary ban, reddit doesn’t count that as breaking your streak. Which is fucking outrageous. I got a 3-day ban because the AI the admins use thought I was calling for violence when I was describing Alex Pretti’s killing. I appealed it but I think appeals are all done by AI now too. Denied.
So I thought “well at least that embarassing ‘streak’ will end…”
Nope.
