How underage are we talking though

Like 16-17 and 18 or 23 and 15

The woman was wearing office attire so I think he was joking. But that joke caught me off guard and messed me up ngl.

You didn’t answer the question

I didn't ask the man or the woman that because by that time, the other hotel already accepted that customer so I just bring them to the place.

So how did you know anyone was underage? Or of age? Drunk people in office attire screamed kid and adult?

She doesn't look underage, her voice didn't scream young.

For context:

I am a night time receptionist. At that time, my hotel was out of room. Then during midnight, two customers walked in asking for a room because they booked it online (the other receptionist forgot to lock it).

So instead I introduced them to another hotel, while at it, the male customer asked if it were okay to not show his friend (a woman)'s ID (it is mandatory in my country) and then if it were possible for him to stay in the same room while the woman was underage. They were both drunk but they had office attire. I had a mental crisis while trying to act professional and introducing them to another hotel.

It is probably a joke but that joke kinda mess me up.
