The answer to this can be taken from an interview from Taika Waititi for Thor Love and Thunder. The reason he put in the screaming goats was because during production of the movie, someone showed him the original video which he never saw and he thought it was hilarious, so he thought he should put in a screaming goat joke in the movie.

It all boils down to “the majority of people, especially Hollywood directors and executives, don’t really spend time on social media or the internet given that working on movies is very time consuming. There’s a big chance they may have never seen or heard of a viral trending video from over a decade ago.”

So basically, having a job that requires a lot of your time can lead to you not being terminally online, who would have thought?
